    Default South Beach Diet beginner

my boyfriend didnt like the idea of me doing the lemonade diet. I was doing it really well for two days before i couldnt take his nagging about me "not eating" and how "that cant be healthy for you." then he bargined that he would quit smoking if i "started eating" and i couldnt pass that up. So im just going to switch immediately to the south beach diet without detoxing like i wanted.

im making baked greek lemon chicken with zucchini right now
and i have egg whites and veggies for a breakfast omlette and salad for lunch.

what other phase 1 recipes can i make?

All of them? 'Cause you're in phase 1, see, so you can have the . . .never mind . . .

think about buying cartons of Organic Valley egg whites, lots of veggies, hummus (the organic kind that doesn't have corn syrup in it), nuts, low-fat cheese, and lean meats. That will be all you eat for two weeks (along with the occasional sugarfree Jello or Fudgsicle should you wish).

I recommend getting the book, cookbook, and pocket food guide. South Beach rocks and I can't think of any reason you'd need to fast before beginning it. Though as long as you have the OK of your doctor you can tell your BF to stuff it with harping on your diet plans. It's based on some really sound, common-sense principles: don't eat a bunch of refined white flour and sugar or saturated animal fats, keep your carbs the good whole-grain kind, eat your vegetables, and have snacks throughout the day. The 3 phases just help you kickstart with some more dramatic weightloss so you stay motivated.

Is it really sad that I go to threads sophiemarie posted in just to see what kind of off the wall shit she's had to say?

Really, what does this have to do with South Beach?

Im sorry Bulimia didn't work out for you, Sophie. I hope starvation produces better results.

South Beach diet is great if you have heat problems. Lots of heat attack patients do this diet.

Fiji is the best and cleanest water on the market. Evian and Poland Spring re not nearly as good. Fiji looks like jello. My fat cat Mao, he's an Egyptian Mao, loves it over Poland Spring. I won't give him that NYC hard water. He never drinks tap water.

Hmmm...you really do this since you gave up bulimia and took up anorexia??

Get your story straight. If you're going to lie, at least keep it together.

Relative to size, the barnacle has the largest penis of any animal.

Sorry, just wanted to see how off topic I could make it.

http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/...ollection.html <-- This has some pretty good recipes. Unfortunately it doesn't tell you in the index what Phase they are, but when you click on them the recipe page tells you the phase.

I want to post a thread that's like "I'm not sure how to properly clean my turtle's aquarium" Just to see if after a few posts good ole Soph will chime in with:
"I haven't eaten anything but bouillon cubes and cat pee (it's great for your skin!) for 9 and a half months...."

I've heard about good results from the South Beach Diet. If ONLY I could cook in my phucking dorm, then I could do well on it, because it has such a variety of recipes and snacks and what not. Update us on how it goes!!!

You'll only set yourself up for more bingeing that way (not to mention metabolic damage). Have you considered seeing a nutritionist?

Honestly, sophie, I knwo thsi has been said many, many times, but please, please, see a doctor. You need help. You are hurting yourself. I knwo looks are important to you, well, you are going to ruin your looks along with your health if you continue on this path of destruction. You obviously have some mental issues going on that you cannot cope with alone. You need to seek help. I know a lot of people pick on you, myself included, but thats because you seriously post the most off the wall shit. WHy do you do that? Why?
And why do you brag about your eating disorders and addiction to Lipo? I know your not proud of it, so why do you brag about it?

My heart goes out to you, I feel bad that you are going through such a hard time, but you need to get treatment before you ruin yourelf.

It's nto to late to start your life over, and gain a postive outlook, and regain control over things in your life. There are peple out there that can help you, all you have to do is take the first step and ask.

    So please...ask someone for help.

    Back to South Beach......

You need to get some competent professional help, then, preferably before you damage your health irrevocably. Believe me, you will regret it bitterly if you wind up with damage to your teeth and bones.

I never vomit my food. I go to the dentist every six months. I am very on point about that. It's my digestive tract that is the concern.
I was a LAxIE abuser, not anymore.....

If you're not eating then you're not consuming calcium, so your teeth and bones will be stuffed anyways.

But hey! If your digestive tract goes haywire you won't be able to eat and then you'll be super thin anyways!...or dead. Go get help. It's like you're trying to compete with people or something to be like, well hey, look what I can do. If that's what you want, I can get some people in touch with you who are better anorexics than you, and are actually successful bulimics. However they don't look so nice anymore. And people don't say how pretty they are behind their backs. SO GO GET HELP.

Anyways, I was always under the impression that South Beach was like a better version of Atkins, is this wrong?

South beach = Atkins to me as well. It's all a bunch of BS to me. Just watch your calorie/fat/sodium intake and yoyr be all right.
