I think cabbage soup is nice. Eating nothing but soup will get boring, though.

here is a basic veggie type soup from Anushka's cellulite webpage

    ANUSHKA’S SLIMMING SOUP

Make a week’s worth at once and eat as much as you like, whenever you like. The more soup you have, the more weight you will lose. For a change of pace, use your blender to make a vegetable puree or cream soup. Enjoy!

4 to 6 onions 6 stalks celery ½ teaspoons ground pepper

2 green or red peppers 4 carrots 1 teaspoon rosemary

1 bunch of scallions 1 large potato 1 teaspoon thyme

2 large tomatoes 1 bunch parsley ½ cup dry vermouth

1 small head cabbage 4 cloves crushed garlic 2 bay leaves

Cut vegetables into medium pieces and chop herbs. Cover with water and boil for 20 minutes. Lower heat and simmer until vegetables become soft or al dente, depending on your preference.

Note: You may add 4-6 cubes or the equivalent, of any of the following natural seasonings, available at health food or gourmet shops: Barth’s Nutrasoup (instant broth concentrate- chicken, beef, or vegetable); Vogue (instant vegetable base); Morga (vegetable boullion cubes); Bioforce (vegetable plantaforce

    -------------

I wonder if marzcapone (sp??) is not too fattening but it is cheese so probably is .. everyday italian food show Giada makes a veggie puree type soup and adds a spoon of this stuff to make it creamy ..then puts a little on top
I guess if you just made one mug of it.. and a little dab of it .. it wouldnt sacrifice the good qualities.. but if you were eating it all day long it could add up in calories

Cabbage soup doesn't suck as much as you think. I did it, and I did lose weight it's pretty much one of those diets that you just can't keep with for a long period of time. It's a nice one to jumpstart things though or if you have a small amount of weight to lose. Although the soup isn't the best smell ever, put some seasoning in with it if you do decide to do it.

Clear soup made by the Japan peeps is always calorie and fat free. The more the broth the better it is for you. I don't do cream based sauces.
