Default My Theory About Stage Tipping

Maybe this is all wet. I was talking to a buddy of mine when we were in the club and he said F*** THAT.

    But...

I was in a full-nude club in Dallas. It was a pretty slow night and each dancer had to do 3 songs on stage for each set.

My theory is that the dancers appreciate it more and tend to show their appreciation more if when you tip them on stage, you do it during the first song of a long set, when they still have most of thier clothes on.

Maybe it was just coincidence, but it seemed like I was getting a lot more attention than other guys were for parting with a few 1's.

Tipping on stage is ALWAYS appreciated(unless the guy is being an ass of course)...and a guy who tips you withOUT waiting to see what you had for lunch is even better! Makes you look like a gentleman.

I appriciate the guys who tip the most, or who i get the best vibes from. We don't have to take our clothes off by me without being tipped... 5 for the top, 5 more for the bottom. but I do agree, I'd rather be tipped sooner then later

Tipping sooner gets you a better show, definitely. If I'm halfway through my first song and nobody's showing any appreciation, it's not an incentive to put forth any further effort. I also have a firm "no tip, no strip" policy. I don't get naked for free! I have done entire stage sets fully clothed. I've also occasionally stopped dancing to just stand and stare expectantly at some jerk who's sitting at the tip rail and watching intently but not tipping.

A girl I used to work with at my first club had a great trick... this club had a REALLY high pole, about 25 feet high IIRC. If no one was tipping, she'd climb all the way to the top and sit cross-legged - Indian style, but with her legs wrapped around the pole - and pretend to do her nails. She'd just sit up there and pretend to do her nails with this very bored expression, until someone would tip and then suddenly she'd swing out and spin all the way down the pole and go back to dancing. It was awesome.

I very rarely sit at the tip rail, but I will most times when a girl starts her set, leave my seat at the bar, throw a 5 on the stage for her, and then go back to my bar stool. The only thing I make sure is that she sees me leave the tip, so we exchange a nod or something so some F'n loser dosent palm my five, and get a dance on my dime!

LO...I've done this!!! Not up on the pole though..thats a great idea. But I've sat cross legged on the stage in a meditation pose..i've laid down on the rail and "fallen asleep"....I've it usually gets someone out of their seat! I'm totally doing my nails up on the pole next time!

    Your theory is correct, plm.

Nothing sends the signal more plainly that you appreciate that woman onstage, than not sitting there clutching your dollar, holding out for a peek at the goodies.

It makes them feel more appreciated, it makes you look like a gentleman, and also sets you apart from the guys who act like they've never seen any naughty bits before, lol...

Nice going, plm, your friend is far behind you.

Pan Dah, speaking for myself, when dancing I am there to dance. I'd rather dance for your $6-10 than lie bored on the stage wondering why no one wants to watch me dance or tip me. It's more fun for both of us, and it makes me feel better about myself, and it's much less awkward for everyone else.

    Yes, you have.

And guilty? Fuck that--you're the kind of guy I used to buy a drink for, not the fucking bar, me, and that's what I would say on the mike when I did. You are taking care of the dancers, and showing your appreciation.

Anyone who demonstrates gentlemanly behavior such as this at the tip rail deserves it. In my present club it's entirely unnecessary, thank god. The tip rail is almost always lined up.

I'm sure they appreciate you coming in the club, next time they see you, too.

Confession. I often use the stage side to "hide." Due to the rule that girls working the floor don't approach customers who are actually sitting at stage tipping. I don't as a general rule like to be approached for conversation -- I like to wait until I see someone I like, then do the approaching.

The place I wait while scouting for that approach is stage-side. That way I avoid all the "Hi, I'm ____. How are you doing this today?" approaches.

But I do tip while there, over and above expectations, at all times. Still seems less expensive in the long run than sitting out at a table getting unwelcome approaches, though.

If your sitting at the stage, and not tipping, I will kindly ask you to leave, and make room for customers who actually will tip. there is nothing more rude than sitting at a tip rail, and not tipping. I will not tolerate it.

At the smaller club I used to work at, if noone was sitting at the stage, but were just sitting at their tables watchign a free show, Id go up to the dj booth, grab the mic and tell the guys that I was taking over for the dj, because he was taking my place on stage. if they wanted to see dude get naked, keep sitting there, but if they want a hot chick to get naked, they better start paying up. Every time I did that, all the guys in the club would rush to the stage to leave a tip. I think oen time they thought I was kidding, and noone moved. All it took was for the dj to walk up to the stage, and the guys started comming up to tip me.

My theory on stage tipping -

You sit at the stage, you tip.

You come into the strip club, you tip.

You dont tip, dont come into the club.

There will be a test later.

I would only sit down on stage and do nothing if there were guys around leering and making gross obnoxious comments, but not tipping. Of course, I would also tell management and DJ. Not just for my sake, but for the sanity of the other girls.

But yes, the first tipper on a dead night DEFINATELY leaves more of an impact!

I'd rather make that 6-10 dollars, b/c it'll make me feel better once I'm done onstage. I have an easier time keeping myself out of the dressing room and working when i feel like there is money in the room. If no one tips at stage, I'm like, well then fuck it.

Ive related this before, I think.

There were a few times back at my local haunt where the stage had all their seats filled, so I had to sit at the stool that were a little way off, next to the second stage (which was closed off). It was mere feet from the main stage, but to actually tip I would have had to lean over peoples heads.

I remedied that by making my dollars into little air planes, and floating them onto stage, usually landing on the dancer. It was fun and amusing for all (and when a seat opened up I tipped the normal way when I got to the stage).

Hah! I love it! I can never make my bills fly though, I've never tried in a SC though

Hmmm real one i've tried... Was pulling a hurly and putting a 20 down on the stage and directing the dancer that I knew well to pick it up with her butt cheeks.

It's awesome that you tip but please please don't throw money at the dancer like you're throwing a baseball. IMO, that's worse than not tipping.

Australians do not have a tipping mentality as it has not really been part of our culture to tip in any setting - whether it be at a restaurant or a SC.
So at my club customers only pay when they are getting dances.
It is very rare to get tipped on stage and it's well appreciated if anyone chooses to tip.
I wish they would make it a rule that u can't sit at the stage if u don't tip but they won't do that so the best we can do is sell a stage dance for $20 where we go full nude.
I suppose it's not so bad coz we dont take anything off unless we get $20.
I still hate dancing around in my bra and g-string (thong) for a bunch of cheap arses who don't tip tho.

I guess I'm a little different, but when there is no one sitting at my set I still do my thing. I just view it as an chance to practice tricks I don't usually do, or get a good workout by being extra athletic.

If there is someone sitting at the rail and is not tipping any of the dancers, then I will either A: stay away from them, pointedly ignore them, and avoid showing them anything, or B: (if I'm in an off mood) I'll "accidently" spill their drink in their lap or something else equally evil that will piss them off but that they can't retaliate to.

If the club is really slow, I just ask the DJ to play my favorite set and go up there and dance for myself, because I love it. I love feeling the music flow through my body as I flow over the stage or the pole. I love pushing myself to learn new things, and become even more sensual and talented. I love transforming myself into an erotic work of grace and poetry on stage.

And if I'm the only one paying attention, I don't really care.... it's the customers' loss.

Dammit, I need more dancers like you, lol!

Actually in my new club it's hardly ever a problem (the tiprail is generally lined up), but in the Daytona clubs dancers like you were very rare, and very much appreciated by me. In the last club I literally spent by far the most energy trying to get dancers onstage (they weren't fined if they didn't go up).

It is REALLY rude to sit at the rail and not tip every girl a dollar per song. I mean, that's only 3 dollars per girl, and 3 songs is ten minutes. So you could sit there for 100 minutes, almost 2 hours, and only spend 30 dollars, and be a complete gentleman and all the girls would like you.

Also, I dance full out even if people aren't paying me all that much. I figure it's good practice, and also it shows that I have a positive attitude if anyone in the club is looking around seeing who they're getting a dance from. They're here on vacation from their boring ass lives, they don't need to see me sitting there bored and crabby.

Although I do think the Indian sit on the pole is cute, cause at least she got bad assed as soon as someone tipped.

In most of the clubs I visit, the girls usually do 2 dances and I'll tip them a couple bucks for each dance. Seems fair to me. Even if she hasn't taken her cloths off yet she's still dancing for you.
