Bring lots and lots of friends with you, and have them cheer really loud.![]()

Haha thanks. Good advice.
Tons of friends... and a little ahem.. bribery
Practice a lot. Maybe go find a make-shift pole and practice moving around in slow... also bring friends who have lots of money to tip with. Keep eye contact with customers, smile and be flirty on-stage.
What kind of bribery?

You probably really dont have to win to get hired. I worked at a club that had amatuer night and they would hire the winner and if anyone else was hot theyd take them aside and hire them too.
Yay, that makes me happy. Less pressure, I suppose? What should I wear?
Something simple and easy to take off. You don't want to have to struggle with your outfit. Maybe go with a simple skirt ot shorts set or even a little mini dress.

Yeah, something that shows your figure to your best assets. If you have a nice tummy show your tummy, nice ass show your ass. And wear something that looks new and modern looking.
So I didn't win but the manager told me to come back on monday. Should I even bother going? If I do, what should I expect?
mag go back he is probably hireing you .
I dont know, I didnt have to audition... I just called and asked if they were hiring, showed up and spoke to the manager and he had me fill out an application and gave me my choice of dayshift or nightshift right then and there and what day I wanted to start. He didnt ask for anything else, no audition, nothing, just to see my social and my ID. Within 30 minutes I had the tour, the rules, and my starting day... and I've never danced at a club before so I was surprised. I brought stuff to audition in but I didnt need to.
But I'm assuming since they want to see you again on monday, they'll probably offer you a job. Just go and expect for them to probably offer you a job or a redo audition or something along those lines. But it's a good thing they want to see you again, usually if they dont want you they'll just thank you for your time and send you along your merry way.
Go back. Maybe they just wanted to see how you were on stage. Who knows ~ there may be a job waiting for you.![]()
Good Luck!!
I purrr, therefore I am ...
Thanks for all your advice everyone. I'll go back and hopefully nail a job! Lyric, as far as how it is, there's a lot of waiting around, then you dance for 3 minutes and people vote. The hardest part is the anticipation but once you're on the stage everyone will cheer and throw money at you. Is a lot of fun. I wore a bra and panty set with light up shoes but I wouldn't recommend it. I would go for a more interesting outfit if I were you. When do u plan on auditioning? Good luck!!! You'll kick ass
i'm suppose to go next week. I talked to the manager and he said to come in for an audition. I'm so scared because I have never danced before. Tonight I was going to go to the club just to see what the dancers do so that I can maybe pick-up a few moves.
Smile, a LOT. Don't try any 'stripper moves'; you won't do them right and it will not look good. Shake your butt, giggle, spend you time flirting with the audience. Drop into the splits at the end and put your arms up like 'ta da!' and smile and giggle. Bounce a bit.
Sounds gay, but I promise that will work!
Feature costumes for sale!
Ok..so do I like wink my eye, lick the lips, etc. stuff of that kind? My shoes that I ordered just came in and they look great. I just hope that I am able to dance in them because they are 6 in and I've never been in heels this high before. All of my friends (male and female) say that I have the body to be a stripper but I am no where near as confident about dancing as i am with my body. Do I wear make-up or any type of exotic jewlery?

I wink my eyes at customers, and stick out my tongue really cute. Just be really cute and flirty because that is what they will expect of a "newbie".
Practice in your heels first, because they tend to be a little wobbly at first, break them in and get used to the way you feel when you bend over in them, crouch down in them, and if you are going to be doing any floorwork (on your knees or back), practice getting up in them to break them in.
I would suggest wearing makeup. Call and find out if your club has a "house mom". She should do hair and makeup, but bring money to tip her if you plan on using her. If there is no house mom, just wear the normal foundation or cover up, wear a bit more blush than normal, and a LOT more eye makeup than normal. You will be amazed at how much strip club lights tend to dim your makeup.
I don't know what length your hair is or if its naturally curly or straight..... but.... I would say if its naturally straight flat-iron it or put in curlers for volume, and if it's naturally curly enhance that by adding gel/spray to get that crunchy curl I would die for....
If there are any stripper stores in the area, go ahead and find an outfit that's cute.... a little dress or two piece, or even if you go to a Frederick's at the mall they may have a classy lingerie set or dress that will work. Just make sure what you get will flatter you in all kind of light (stage spotlight, blacklight, ect.) and is durable and will come off easily.
Auditioning is really not a big deal, but make sure you check out the club first. If you've never danced before, ask if you can sit and watch for a bit first. See what the girls generally do, don't try any really dramatic or showy stunts, just sway your hips to the music and have fun!!!!
Remember: It's much better to go slow and sexy to the music than to shake your ass like a jello cup for 15 minutes....
Good Luck.

Ooh and I should've mentioned how to react to people.....
If dancers do like you, be happy that they do, but don't automatically completely trust them. Some strippers are really shady and try to act like your friend and will sell your information or start rumors or whatever... just be careful. If there are dancers that don't like you right away (and there will be at least one) they will get over it. Don't try too hard, it's just the way some veterans are. They don't like new girls until they get to know them and realize they are good people too.
On audition night, if you are allowed to come early, walk around and meet some people who are there. I wouldn't hustle them for dances, most clubs don't allow you to LD on your first night anyway. I would just tell them hi, my name is ____, and I am auditioning and I would really appreciate it if you cheer for me later.
The more people you get to cheer, the better.
And once you get the job, get to know waitstaff, bartenders, bouncers and doormen. A lot of them have been there for years and will know the big spenders. If you make it known that you will tip them when they help you get dances, they will get you some big spenders. Just when they help you, ALWAYS remember to tip them well so they will remember to get you again next time.
Good Luck.
Ok thanks. As for how long my hair is, it's past my shoulders and it's naturally staright. Long enough that's for sure. I will be sure to take ALL of your advice. I will definately be heading out to the mall today for an outfit and for make-up. Thanks alot. If theer are any more suggestions from anyone feel free to let me know. I'm trying to take as much in as possible so that I don't go in without a clue.
