Default Family takes search for daughter to Sin City~Anyone from VEGAS seen her???

    http://www.jessiefoster.ca/

The above is a link to a site set up by her family from my understanding.
    Below is the article...

I know it is an impossible long shot but if anyone has seen her in the clubs or anywhere the LVPD said they would only re-open the case if something new developed.

I'm posting this being a mom myself and can't imagine what her parents are going through.....

    Jessie Foster (www.jessiefoster.ca)

She disappeared nearly one year ago after apparently getting involved in prostitution in the 'City of Sin,' but Jessie Foster's relatives haven't given up hope -- and Global National was there as the Calgary family too their search from the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip to the dark alleys frequented by the city's sex-trade workers.

Foster, 21, last contacted her family March 28, 2006. Her bank accounts and credit card have shown no activity since then. Her several-times-a-week calls to family members have ceased altogether.

"She's a good kid," said Foster's mother, Glendene Grant. "We're talking about a girl who got As on her report card. She never smoked cigarettes. She never did drugs."

Over one year ago, Foster arrived in Las Vegas on her way home from a trip to Florida with a friend.

"She called me from Las Vegas and said, 'Mom, I like it here, I'm going to stay," Grant said.

Foster apparently met and befriended a man named Peter Todd, who told her he raced cars and came from a wealthy family.

"To her, he was like Prince Charming," Grant said. Before long, Foster had moved into Todd's expensive condo.

But a private detective hired by Foster's dad, Dwight Foster, uncovered some disturbing information.

Foster, who had graduated from high school and went on to work as a waitress at Boston Pizza in Calgary and Kamloops, was convicted in Las Vegas of soliciting for prostitution in June 2005. In September 2005, she was charged with four more counts of that offence, investigator Mike Kirkman said.

And it turns out Todd was married to a convicted prostitute, and he had been found guilty of spousal abuse.

When confronted with this information, Todd told Foster's mother that he came home April 3, 2006 to find Jessie had taken all her belongings and moved out.

Las Vegas police brought Todd, 39, in for questioning.

"We're interested in him enough that we brought him in a second time," said the department's public information officer Tim Bedwell.

It appears Todd has a considerable amount of money but no legitimate source of income, Bedwell noted.

But police have no evidence of a crime in relation to Foster's disappearance, and Todd's conviction for spousal assault isn't enough for a warrant to search his home, Bedwell said.

Todd is the only person police know of in the Las Vegas area to question in connection with Foster's disappearance, Bedwell said.

However, Todd maintains he has no involvement with the prostitution business and that he never physically abused Foster.

"I don't give a s--t what the hell they say about me," Todd told CanWest reporters. "When I met Jessica Foster, she was a hooker."

He said Foster stayed with him on and off and he thinks she's now working as a decoy for the police, or has gone underground to avoid being deported for prostitution offences.

Recently, Foster's parents went to Las Vegas to continue the search for their daughter, handing out posters with Jessie's picture -- and to urge local police to continue looking for her.

"She's become a non-person to the local authorities," said David Foster. "Without constant pressure, they're going to keep ignoring us."

With each hour that passes, hope fades a little more for Foster's family. But her mother leaves a voicemail message for her daughter every day.

"Jessie, we're looking for you, baby," her mother says. "Don't worry, we're going to find you."

yeah, it must be so scary for her family.

I guess she's not working in any of the clubs, as she'd have to have a sheriff's card (not to mention a green card), and any name change would be on record, right? Ditto for Bunny ranch?

I know my cell phone only holds a limited number of messages, as do many other phones. If someone tries to leave me a message and my voice mailbox is full, they get a recording saying "Sorry, there's no more room for messages."

Could this mean that she is alive somewhere and still checking her messages, or possibly that someone else is checking her messages?

^^^^VERY good point! Perhaps they can do a trace on what was the last tower to handle her call. That's a pretty horrifying story.

That is really sad. I've never seen that girl, but the last place she was seen at is a real rough part of town. I hope she's okay and just scared and hiding from her parents or something

I really don't know what to make of her dissapearance but seeing her parents on the local news made me think ...maybe if I post it on SW there is a slim chance it might help...

Even if it is a lost cause at least it can't do any harm to post and see what happens.

From what the news up here said ...In Vegas the average amount of people that go missing in a month or year (can't remember which it was) was 1200 and of those they are lucky if they find one.

For you girls that are in Vegas keep safe eh!

ok..not only that..but you gotta pay your cell bill every month to keep the service on. If she were dead or missing, she coudl not pay the bill, which woudl turn the phone off, and you could not leave messages....
