"Blinded By the Light" - Manfred Mann

Oooh, there's a really good remix of that! Have you heard it yet?

^Yes, I have. I used to dance to it all the time at my old club... the first song being a remix of "Black Betty", and then that one second. I've given up on the DJs at my club, so I haven't bothered to ask them if they have it.

Now I have to go and find it again, lol! I know I have it somewhere.
Hey, is he really singing "wrapped up like a douche..."? I have always wondered about that! What the hell is he singing if not that??
Oh sorry, I am listening to Thievery Corporation. Oh and that remix of Black Betty is good, I play that.

^No, LOL! He says, "Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night." I used to think that he said "douche", too, though, Haha...

Duh, thanks.
Actually now that I read that I remember someone told me that before. Which makes it even worse, LOL.

"Blinded By The Light" was written by Springsteen. He use to make a lot of street racing references in his songs...thus the "Deuce" reference...
When I was a kid...we thought it was "douche" also...we got quite the "giggle" out of that...hehehe
In fact, three of Manfred Mann's biggest hits were written by Springsteen and they all appear (in Springsteen version) on his debut album "Greetings from Asbury Park." If you like Bob Dylan type songs you should check it out. When he originally signed to the label they tried to market him as the new Dylan.
The three songs in question would be:
"Blinded By The Light"
"For You"
"Spirits In The Night"
Sorry to interject, but I am a long time fan of "The Boss" and couldn't help it.
Common- Go & also I want you (ft Will.I.Am.)

Aimee Mann - That's Just What You Are

"In life, we DO a lot in order to accomplish mundane trivial things before we die, but it is in death and after death in memories that we will truly live, because it is in the level of care and detail that a person paints of us with stories from their memories and experiences with us that give us meaning."

I used to have a huge crush on Aimee Mann, way back when.
Anyway. Once again : Bat For Lashes - "Fur And Gold"
