Mediocre club = Less competition? Puzzled

I'd like to start stripping soon... (wish me luck) ...And I'm trying to pick a club. I have the basic guidelines down - no drugs, no hookers, no shootings etc., I have a pretty good idea what clubs are more quality than others...

I'm not trying to come off as vain or conceited but I'm pretty happy with my face and relatively happy with my body. My only issue is that I had a baby so I have a little baby fat to lose (I'm about 5'4" and 115) and stretch marks (but I'm looking into body make up to cover these. Any suggestions?). Assuming I don't fall off the stage, I'm pretty sure I could get a job somewhere...But I don't know what to shoot for.

I could try really hard to get into a club full of 10s but I don't want want to stand out as the 7 in a bunch of 10s - but those clubs probably are a bit more upscale with richer patrons. I don't want to work in a dump either but if it's a club with less attractive/intelligent/whatever women would it be easier to make money?

I'm also thinking that maybe I should start a club that's a 5 so that when I'm ready to work at a 10 club then I'll be experienced and have a little more dancing/hustling skill. But then again, I don't want to learn bad habits or make any serious enemies...

    Help???

Cute name This should probably be in the Newbie section

Anywho, IMHO, it really depends on your confidence, and sales skills at this time.

You may fit right into an upscale/high-volume club. You sound pretty confident, and of course, not all dancers start of at lower tier clubs.

That being said, you should also consider your out of pocket expenses/costs when deciding on your first club.

What I mean is, usually upscale clubs require more of an initial investment. Outfits are more glamourous (read:costly), accesories, etc.

Please don't assume that you are going to be making the big-bucks right off the bat, it may not happen that way.

The most gorgeous dancer can still struggle due to unpolished sales skills, operational familiarity and unexpected nervousness & fatique!

If money is not a chief concern of yours right now, and you can afford to not profit tremendously while you earn your wings, go for it at a top-tier club.

Just remember, the house fees are usually higher, sometimes the girls are bitchier, and management may be less employee friendly since they know they are a coveted club

You should try Vanity. Management is really nice, the girls are sweet for the most part and the money making potential is excellent for Columbus. It's also really clean and low mileage (no grinding) which might be good for you since you're just starting out. From your pic it looks like you would have no problem working there.

I would recommend starting at a dive rather than jumping straight for the high-class club. I am in a similar situation, and I usually get the high-class patrons upstairs no problem just by being an intelligent and pretty young woman. But I broke some stripper taboos and made an ass of myself the first few times dancing, and it's easiest to make those mistakes at a dive bar where you're one of the nicer-looking ladies anyway.

Remember that it's much easier to start low and climb than it is to start high and fall. This advice applies to the pole as well, so good luck.
