    Default earnings decreasing with experience!!

well it could be the time of year coz the club is pretty much dead on weeknights now.

since i started dancng my earnings have been steadily increasing with experience.

the last three weeks i have noticed a significant decrease in my earnings except on saturday nights where i consistently do well.

saturday nights are now the only night where my club is really busy and i seem to only hustle well when the club is busy.
i just dont do well with the whole sitting down and socialising during slow periods type of hustle and its affecting my earnings.

for the last 3 weeks ANY weeknight whether thursday or wednesday it is dead, like really bad. at one stage last night i think there were 4 guys in the club and one was a "regular" that just drinks all night.

but even tho it was dead last night some dancers were making money and that just got me even more depressed and down on myself.
my weeknight average was between 300 and 400 and now that doesnt even seem possible anymore. i went home last night with $155!

as you said it's probably that time of year. when earnings are decreasing steadily, it's time for a break. it means you are probably a bit burnt out and the lack of customers are not helping you. maybe you should see if other clubs around there are slow too. or maybe you need to remember how to sit, talk, drink and then hustle. i knwo you said you don't liek that, but on slow nights, that extra effort you show a customer helps them open their wallets easier. they think you enjoy spending time with them when you do this. after 5 ish, maybe ten - 15 if it's really dead, tell them that you are ready to dance for them now. not a question, because, shit, you are gonna dance for them now. read up on how to make the sit and chat thing work for you because unless you vacation to get your mind re-goal-oriented that's your best bet to make good money again.

    Love it!

You are right Chrissy I think I have lost some energy and motivation towards my work coz I used to be good at this slower hustle.

The other clubs around King St are busy. My club has only been open for a year and I think it might to be time to move on. It will be a shame as the girls I work with are awesome, it's a really great friendly atmosphere and management are great too but I'm not making "dancer" money during the week. I could be making about the same if I was still working at my old job where I got $20 per hour.
I dont think enough people know about our club and it's hard to compete with the more established clubs:
    - we have spearmint rhino 2 doors down
    - Bar20 (melbournes oldest - I think, strip club)
    - goldfingers
    - and our sister club the mens gallery
    all in the same st.
i think being new and not providing any stage shows like the other clubs do is making us suffer. we have table dancing but theother clubs put on feature shows.

I know the answer, I need to move on, I'm scared tho coz I have gotten very comfortable at this club.

    time of year

is there any major sports happening near-by at telstra stadium? I know the tennis finished recently and that usually brings people out and can be rather good. Also I find that the weather can and does affect earnings regardless of where I am... if it is raining and/or cold then people won't venture far and wide in re "night life entertainment".

kids are back at school yet people are also back at work even tho' plenty of holiday makers still on the gc from this last week of mine (met plenty of them)...

anyway... you need to learn how to do the sit n talk hustle even if it is for only three songs at a time before you move away and come back to them a short while later... not every club is busy all the time so it is hustle well worth learning esp. if you want to really work week-days as they usually aren't terrifically busy (and the type of people that usually come in week-days like the sit n talk hustle).

in re moving on... what are you REALLY afraid of ... ??? failure at the new club ?? if you do, so be it try another club it isn't like Melbourne has a short supply... and alot of the clubs realise they aren't the right fit for every dancer...

the club being new might have something to do with it as Rhino is established as you said and is literally right next door ... and then you have the other end of King St with Goldies and Mens Gallery .. both well established... and Bar20.. yup.. established.

The other clubs do feature shows yes however Rhino doesn't... it has the main stage and the VIP podium ... and that's it. I have yet to see a feature show done at that club yet.

Honestly I am afraid of one thing and one thing only in going to a new club - the dancers!
I have been very spoilt at centrefold in that the dancers are exceptionally kind and friendly.
I am a very friendly and nice person and I am pretty sensitive when people are not nice.
That's why I wont work at mens gallery even tho I have the option of working there being at centrefold coz all the girls I work with have said there time at MG was miserable and the other girls were horrible to them.

So I am considering goldfingers and I'm mostly scared of being the new dancer and having no one talk to me etc. I have read a lot here on SW posts saying just go to work, do your thing and leave. I dont know if i can work like that, I like having the other dancers support esp when it's hard out on the floor and we really help each other - getting double dances etc.

    I am just a wuss I know.
I actually think I would work better at a club either like goldies or bar20 that aren't gown clubs. I just have to grow some balls (well u know what i mean).

we recently had travellers down for the cricket (lots of english guys) and then the tennis. yep you are right, i didnt think of this.
during the tennis and the cricket I was earning almost as much as i do on the weekend. we werent extremely busy but we had high quality customers.
i am like u GCG in that i prefer quality over quantity and i usually make the most money out of 2 or 3 good spenders in a night which i guess makes it hard when its slow to find those good spenders and invest time in the right guy.

OMG .. do not be afraid of the other dancers! Just accept that in a big club (where there are 30+ dancers working) where poeple are working in a competative environment that it doesn't necessarily bring out the best in people. Goodness, it is the old "you can't please everyone" thing. You can't. Just go in, be friendly (say hi, be vague about how much money you're making, make positive comments about other dancers), work and go home.

If you do that you will gradually attract dancers to you that you will be "work friends" with as this is what happens with me at every club I work within.

Plus you have to realise that some dancers (like myself) are a little guarded around newbies (new dancers in the club) because so many girls come and go so there is no point forming an attachment of any kind until the girl has proven herself to be a stay-er.

Just go in. Just do it. F.E.A.R = False Evidence Appearing Real. Remember that.

You will eventually learn that placing too much value on being friendly with the girls is not productive.

It sounds to me like you just need a better club. I don't do well with the slow hustle either, and I don't see it as a flaw of MINE, I see it as a club issue - slow clubs just don't work for me and I won't work in that environment. I don't like it and that's that. I do very very well in clubs that fit my style, and I'll bet you do too

    Make the move girl!!

Yep it's time to move on. It's the first club I have worked at. I'm with you I like a busier pace.

A lot of the girls at my club say that they cant handle the busier nights coz they get overwhelmed and dont know who to approach next. They actually make less money when it's busy. Im the complete opposite.

Well now to find a new club.......
