    What plant is this?

Can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is? K's parents gave it to us a few months ago and I have no idea what it is. I'd like to look it up for more info on how to take care of it (although it seems to be doing fine, which is amazing because I murder houseplants). I'd also like to make sure it's not poisonous because the cat keeps chewing on it.

I just realized in that pic it looks a lot bigger than it is. It's fully grown and is a little over a foot tall from the soil surface to the tip. The planter it's in is about 10" or so. I've got it living on an end table in a semi-shady window and it seems to like it there.

    Looks like a vase plant.

If so, it's a succulent and can kill it by overwatering it. It likes sun and just a bit of water IN the vase (hollow) part. Like once a week. Maybe a bit in the surrounding soil, but not much.

"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"
