I'm working at a club that I haven't worked at in a couple of years. I love it! Laid back, regular custies, minimal hustle.
anyway.......
I end my day shift today and tell the new DJ that I'm done andI'll get him his tip out after I change. He tells me....
"Cool, you know it's $20. Dancer so-n-so said that's what it is" Dancer so-n-so being the new girl.
I told him "Really, I've been doing this 9 years and no place has ever been higher than $10 or 10%".
"Well dancer so-n-so said it was $20"
This of course makes me mad, who does he think he is? And this dancer girl, what does she have to gain from this?
This is a local dive that's been around forever, the money can be really good but not enough to justify a minimum $20 tip out. This guy had apparently DJed before, he seemed to know what he was doing but this really irratated me. He also kept skipping a couple of girls in stage rotation.
So I said something to the girl in charge, not the first complaint on the guy I'm told. I gave the the standard $10 tip, to bad he told me it was more, I should have tipped him $30.
