Default US Legal System Chews Through New Lives

    The short of it...

Two teens take "racy" pictures of themselves and email em.

Both teens are busted for child pornography.

    This part is awesome:

Court records don't say exactly what happened next--perhaps the parents wanted to end the relationship and raised the alarm--but somehow Florida police learned about the photos.

How much you wanna bet some parent pitched a fit and was gonna show some one the righteous right hand of the law... not realizing their own kid was gonna get busted too.

When are the white middle class gonna learn what the ghetto already knows - don't trust or help the po po. First it is those women who go to jail after reporting a rape and now some kids get ground in the meat grinder.

Imagine having to explaining to the boss, apartment manager, police interaction, etc. why you were busted for producing child pornography for the next fifty years.

personal issues aside, this is simply one more example proving that restrictive laws, although passed with good intentions, always wind up having unintended negative side effects.

Imagine having to explaining to the boss, apartment manager, police interaction, etc. why you were busted for producing child pornography for the next fifty years.
part two of those unintended negative side effects. The 'sex crime' reporting / identification laws don't do much in the way of making distinctions between actual predatory perverts and much less 'dangerous' people who were found guilty of a 'sex crime' i.e. these kids, dancers busted for being too close to a customer etc.
