Over the past month or so, as I have been working at a new club, my earnings per hour have increased dramatically (about 20-25% more). I have changed my hustle a lot: did the DW course, cut down my drinking, wear gowns or moderate length dresses even on Monday afternoons, take a lot more care of my hair make up etc. In general, I feel a lot more in control of my work life, and even when it is dead or I am tired I can still squeeze out money at work.
The most important points I have learned, in case you're interested, are
1) that I am in control of the communcation, the conversation never wanders too far from my goal of selling and I never "ask" for anything. It is always suggestive selling. No more variations of "do you WANT xyz" now it is a variation of "lets go for xyz now".
2) there are only so many people you can speak to, and while it is important to choose carefully based on appearance/dress, if you make a decision to speak to someone...commit to pushing your hustle on them, they notice that you are distracted.
3) never ask for a second dance, tell them to keep going "Let's keep going, one is never enough." I rarely do single dances these days.
4) the more you push the vip, the more you will sell it.
5) you have to spend money on yourself in order to make more money.
6) you CAN be the top earner on any given night. As long as there are custies in the room, you can make money.
So tonight I am going to my old club to test myself and see if my improved hustle helps. I am a little nervous that I am going to revert to my bad hustler ways once I get in there, but the new stuff is so automatic now, I don't have to think so hard to make things work.
