So I did the Billy Blanks boot camp DVD and now my side is killing me. My back/side hurts like hell if I sit off to the side or if I stand up etc. If I sit really straight up it doesn't hurt but that isn't too practical. Help!

Lmao he's all fat now!

Was it your first time using it? Maybe your body is just getting used to the excercise routine.

I remember the first time I used his cardio DVD...I about passed out 3/4 of the way through it!![]()

I would just tell you to keep using that one, I hear that DVD is great. You should take it easy while you are getting used to the movements.

Did you warm up and cool down after such a vigorous work out ?

I think I might buy this. There is actually some bikini bootcamp thing going on in austin for the next month or two... unfortunately I have school during the only times it is offered.

i'm a little bit of a tae bo addict... my only advice for getting back into it after a break, or as a noob is this: 'low and slow'
don't do any high sidekicks, and when they do the superfast versions, just stay at slow speed until your body gets used to it.
i was in agony after my first billy session. (happy agony)
is he really fat now? he's a bit nice on my DVD!

For your achy back, get some Tiger Balm and have somebody rub it over all the sore places and everywhere else on your back. then put on a very heavy sweatshirt (over a t-shirt if you like--Tiger Balm stains) and go to bed. YOu will feel much better in the morning. If you want to take a pain killer, I find that Motrin (Ibuprofen) works much better than aspirin or Tylenol. Take it wo=ith food or milk.

That is no where NEAR enough time to warm up and cool down for such an intensive work-out. That would be okay if you were doing Pilates or some such non such intestive workout however you weren't.... you were doing Billy's workout and from my experience (as I used to do Tae Bo before I sold those videos) he is intense!
More like you should devote 10-15 mins to warm up and cool down. To make sure everything is stretched out.

okay i just have to ask... does it HURT or is it SORE? im not saying you dont know the difference, please dont think that, but if its a true HURT, STABBING pain, you might want to see a doctor... if its just SORE than i'd rest for a day or two and start back up slowly... but from what you said, it sounds like you actually HURT yourself...could you clarify your pain for me so im not worried about ya? lol!
