    Default permanent record

    Hi ladies-

I'm trying to get a job as a high school swim coach, and Im wondering if the fact that I was an "adult entertainer" will go on my permanent record and show up when they do a background check on me. I live in san diego, ca so if any of you ladies know about all this I would really appreciate the info. Thank you so much!

Did you report your income as a dancer? Did you get arrested at a club?

    Not enough information.

They have licenses down in San Diego, right? So if you had a license, that could possibly show up. Morrigan's right too, it also depends on your tax reporting and whether you had any busts.

You can't. You have a dancer's license, it'll show up.

You can always do a background check on yourself to be sure.

I can't find too much on it, but it appears to be a federal thing... don't take me up on it.

It really depends on how hard they look in background searches. I know, for instance, that to work at as a bank employee (at one major bank) they get the zip code of every place you've ever lived and check for a record in each municipality. But other employers just look for a criminal background.
