Default Gowns in a non-gown club?

I really love wearing gowns, I think it is a ton of fun to get really dressed up. One of my clubs is a non gown club, we can wear whatever, but no girls opt for long dresses.

OK, most girls have their asses hanging out of their outfits, and I know I should just trust my instincts in trying to look different and classy in order to get more positive attention. But the girls were looking at me like I had three heads when I went onstage and they were all like, "What are you wearing?"

Please drill it into my head...gowns are good...classy is good...trashy is bad....

Go for it. It always helps me! Standing out is good. And who cares what the girls think? They aren't the ones you're making money off of.

I agree I have a lot of gowns from an old club and the customers seem to like it.

Stick with your gowns, and work the gown power! I'm almost always the only one who wears gowns at my club and not only does it help me stand out, but I get a lot of compliments from both customers and dancers on it. And now that I think about it, I think it took longer for the dancers to come around. (Not that it matters whether they did or not, like Susan said, they're not paying your bills.)

I also work at a non-gown club, and I'm pretty much the only one that wears gowns. while it doesn't work all of the time, it works for me quite a bit. Guys like a little variety. And hey, if no one else wears them you've got the market cornered.

I also wear a gown in a non gown club. Usually, it works well. Once I had on a gown, and the guy I was talking to said it really made me stand out in that club. I began telling him about another gown I have, a long red jessica rabbit looking gown, but I felt it was way to much for the club. He told me to go put it on. When I went back over to him in that gown, he said, ok, you sold me. Lets go to VIP. Classy really does work better.

However, I wont go on stage in my gowns. I go back before my stage and change into something more stage friendly.

I favor gowns. The more unique the design, the better. Most times it's better to leave a little more to the imagination and have more to take off on stage, rather than getting on stage with your tushie already hanging out. You can be so much more playful and sexy when you strip from a gown.

Wear what you want. I think gowns are beautiful.

I have worked at non-gown clubs though where guys liked to see skin and being overdressed did not pay off at all. This was a meat-market type of club were many of the girls walked around topless, bottomlss, or even naked.

If you can pull it off then be the one who shines in your club as elegant and classy.

    Wow!

I remember turning up in Guam with all my nice gowns from Japan, it did not work there, I looked really out of place and immediately ran to the stripper store for something skimpier. If it works, however, go for it, whatever you feel good in.

maybe you should keep wearing a gown when your working the floor so you can show your classy side then when u get on stage take of your gown and have a cute skimpy biniki or sexy thong/garter set on underneath to show a more fun and wild side.
you ll have the best of both worlds!

I wear a mixture of outfits, and none of the clubs I work at are gown clubs. I have an assortment of gowns along with a few school girl outfits, short dresses, and robes.

Really you want to get a feel for the crowd and wear the type of outfit that fits. When I see a few older guys by themselves who seem more clean cut, I wear the gowns and robes. Or, I wear a gown for a few sets, and then change into a short dress. On the weekends when a younger crowd is in, I may wear a themed outfit or a 2 piece.

Mix it up a bit and you will soon get a feel for when to wear what.

    Ya, feel the crowd.

I turn heads, I think b/c I'm very tiny and hourglass shapped, w/ big boobs! So I usually opt for less clothes rather then more. But if I don't do well in that within 30 min, i change into a gown. For your club, sunnie, the opposite mey work better, go gown then skimpy. Some nights are better for fancy, and some not so much. feel it out.

You're lucky to have the option of what to wear like that.

I love the couple of gown I have, but at my current club I always seem to end up changing out of them within an hour or so. This club is also a "meat market" where many girls wear bikinis, or (towards the end of the night) just thongs. The gowns definitely make me stand out, and it seems like that would be a good thing, but somehow it never feels right.

Grace, Are you still at sugars? I'd think gowns would go over well with the daytime crowd there, but nighttime is deffinitely more of a bikini clad ass shaking environment... I still dont dig the bikinis, so when I was on nights there, I just stuck to short lacy see through dresses.

^^I'm up at Perfect 10 now. Yeah, Sugar's was a more gown-friendly environment for sure, which is why I own a few. Sadly, business there just kept slowing down...

In Houston, it's hard to wear gowns it's like the more covered up you are the more they ignore you...

I wear gowns in a non-gown club where nearly all the girls run around with their asses hanging out. I make great money (more than most) and get compliments alllll the time about my more sopisticated look. Standing out is a GOOD thing.

I have had many girls give me stupid looks or comments about my choice of costumes over the years. Fuck 'em - they talk shit because they're insecure. THEY aren't the ones paying you so wtf do you care what they think?

    Do your thing girl!

those girls aren't your customers! Go with what your audience prefers you in, or what you feel comfortable/sexy in.

Standing out is good. Trashy is good. I say half n half, and keep track on a calendar! Ppl always say to do that, and I finally did tho--really helped. I always couldn't stand the color pink,(on me) so I got blazing neon pink nails done to be ironic--and I just tell myself that this job is sometimes all about being who you're not! It's fun.

I agree. I really do feel that there is a time and a place for wearing gowns in a club. For me, I've noticed men who are older, or sitting alone tend to appreciate a woman in a gown. But a rowdy, party atmosphere (age not as big a factor) usually don't go for gowns cause (IMO) gowns = less fun.

Eventhough I don't wear gowns to often, I wear alot of dresses and remain about 75% more covered up than the standard stripper. I want to show enough skin, but still create a little mystery to have the guy wondering what I got on up under there

It feels really great to stand out! Gowns leave lots to the imagination so they may not be the best course of action when its Saturday night and all the drunk frat boys roll in. But during the early part of the day or mid-week they make you look classy, sensual, and very sultry (IMO). I have at least one gown in my bag at all times even if I'm dancing at a more bikini oriented club. I <3 gowns, and I look damn good in 'em.
