    Default I need some motivation!!

This weather's killing me cuz I'm eating total crap and I can't seem to get my ass to the gym. I feel really sluggish and lazy. What do you guys do when you're in a rut?

Put on my headphones with some super rad music and start walking.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

I lay out my gym clothes, so they are the first thing I see in the Am. I tell myself just to put them on, and get ready to go. Once I have my gym clothes on, I tell myself just driv to the gym. You dont have to go in, just drive there. Once Im there, I just say, well, might as well go in. Even if its only for 5 minutes, just go in. Even if you go to the gym and only end up doing 10 minutes of cardio, at least you went, its a step in the right direction to making a habit, and 10 minutes is better than zero.

^ That's almost exactly what I do when I'm dragging from a long day and I don't have the energy to do an hour and half at the gym--I just get myself there, and inevitably, I find plenty of energy and motivation to do the full workout. Hasn't failed once in probably twenty years of fitness routines; as long as I get there, I do it.

What do you guys do when you're in a rut?
Well, one thing that helps me is when I see people that are obese and/or sickly, and I realize they're my age or close to it. The desire to live healthy and, admittedly, look better, works well in this regard. Vanity might have a positive side effect after all...
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

So I managed to get my ass to the gym today. I forced myself to drive there like Kaylinn suggested and ended up doing a killer workout. Thanks
