    Default need to loose weight, need motivation

    Hey if you're not interested in helping thats fine this is jsut for anyone out there who can spare some motivation and some advice. I am starting a diet and upping my exercise I have a wieght loss goal of 40 pounds.

    ANy advice for dieting and exercising??

    This is what I ate today:

    Breakfast:
    Hot Oatmeal with 6 cut fresh strawberries 8 oz. orange juice and 10 grapes

    Snack:
    Fat Free Stawrberry Yogurt (Organic)

    Lunch:
    Small Salad w/fat free ranch dressing

    Snack:
    Handful of baby carrots

    Dinner:
    Veggie Burger w/lowfat shredded cheese (no bun)
    Serving of asparagus

    Snack:
    Grapes
    8oz apple juice

    8 cups of water consumed through the day

    I didn't get to exercise today but my plan is to do an ONDEMAND comcast aerboic workout on Sun., Mon., Tues., and Thursday mornings for 30 minutes, 30 minutes of pole dance practice in my home each of those days and on Monday and Wednesdays I teach pole class from 6-8pm in a dance studio. I'll also add weight training on SUnday and Tuesday. (That I need advice on)

    So please give me feedback and advice if you want to, I appreciate it!!!

    looks great...you have a great variety of fruit and vegetables and whole grains with lean protein

    You should drink more water than 8 cups. Other than that, I think you're definitely on the right track! Keep us updated on your progress!

    What kind of advice are you looking for weight training? Looks good if your just going to focus on different groups of muscles in each session.

    Another thing is to cycle your calories...you don't need to count them per se...just have days where you eat a little more than another then a day when you eat less then in between etc....Think rollercoaster. This helps to keep your metabolism guessing and not drop due to consistant low calorie days that tell your body it is starving.

    I second the drink more water....I drink about 1-2 gallons a day here but that might be too much for you.

    Also take CLA with every meal it helps.

    I want to lose 10 pounds...had a week of shit eating tons of cake chips...u name it ....im starting a juice fast this weekend with lots of water and a little protein powder...light stretching/workouts...relaxation....homeworks...and sex, i am thinking i should feel way better after the weekend is over. Good luck for everyone else.

    Porcelynne- Too many carbs; not enough protein. Oatmeal is carbohydrate and all that fruit has FRUCTOSE. Try to shift to green leafy vegetables ( avoid carrots, peas, legumes, ALL potatoes including yams & sweet potatoes ). Low fat yogurt is fine so long as it's fruit free. Fish, chicken, turkey, TOFU and eggs ( including the yolk) would be better and drink only lactose free milk ( Lactaid ).
