    Default Jellicle Cats! :D

I just saw Cats last night live! It was so great. There was even a kitty on my chair when I got in that I had to wake up with a scritch and shoo away so I could sit down. She ended up scaring a bunch of people and the other cats all perked up and meowed wondering what was up... and that was before the play!

    Heehee.

I <3 Rum Tum. Anyone else have any opinions of this play?

i was so obessesed with the music when i was a kid, like, 3 or 4. so my parents took me to see it. i think all the cat people running around were a bit much for my young mind because i started crying after the first 10 minutes and my parents had to take me home

i would love to have a chance to see it again though...

I saw the NYC cast live when I was 16. I've been in love since. I have the film (London cast) and I watch it at LEAST twice a month.... I admit freely that I've had a crush on the London's Tugger (John Partridge) for a while now. I can still remember the way the theatre was set up on Broadway. *dreamysigh* It was amazing and I am SO glad that I got to experience it before it closed.

Eeek! You guys are so lucky! I've never seen a real play before, but I'm scheming to get to New York in April to see Our Leading Lady. I'm so stoked.

Oh gosh I went to see it in err 1984, lol. I LOVED it! I dont remember too much about it now though. I love how you had a cat in your chair - I had one at my feet when I went to see it. her hair was rally prickly when I patted her.

Watch the play Yek! It says what Jellicle is! Jellicle is the name of the group cats... for all cats have three names...

Oh, right. I haven't seen it in a long time. Saw it three times, but not in years.

I never liked that damn word. Something about it annoys me.

I never thought of myself as one who would enjoy plays, musicals, etc....then one of my daughters decided to major in fine arts - dance. She conned me into seeing "A Chorus Line", then a couple of years ago the American Ballet Company came to Dallas and she invited me to go with one of her classes. Had a great time, and her classmates were glad to know that some faculty members are actually human.

I've not seen "Cats" but it's high on my list of things to see. Another one I did enjoy last year was "Rent". Has anyone seen that?

"Jellicle Cat" was actually a mispronunciation of, "Dear Little Cat" by the guy's niece, and "Pollicle Dog" is a mispronunciation of, "Poor Little Dog."

We named our kitty, Skimbleshanks. Whenever we take him anywhere in the car we have to play the song from the CATS soundtrack because it's the only thing that will shut him up. If you try to listen to any other song he starts up again so it's just on "repeat 1" until we get where we are going. This is in both directions. Something about hearing his name over and over again.
