    Default Lowering dance prices

Tonight my club is lowering dance prices to..$20 a song. Previously they had been $25. So now we have the honor of charging 20% less per song and paying out 25% of what we charge instead of 20%.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I am willing to give it a week or two to see how it goes, but overall I am predictably skeptical about this move.

WTF are they thinking? Oh yeah, if we make it harder for the girls to earn money then they will be forced to work longer hours and or/do more VIPs (as though we wouldn't rather do VIPs over dances). Or suddenly guys are going to start buying en masse because of cheaper prices.

what do the other clubs nearby charge for a dance? If it's $20, then I'd agree with trying this.

Its a mix, but most of the closest clubs charge $25. I"m irritated that they have gone this route...catering to the lowest denomenator of customers instead of going back to the way the club used to be(6 months ago when we were packed every night).
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.

The vast majority of clubs charge $25. I think there is one club up the road that charges $20.

that sucks, but on the flip side....$20 for a dance is pretty common around the US and girls are still banking off it. Plus if guys are used to paying $25, you can still probably get it out of them.

    Yeah, you are right.

And for all the negative attitudes we have towards to the 2-4-1, the club does one every hour (it sounds shitty I know), but after having learned how to make it work what with timing and everything it DOES help to keep me closing.

I need to remember this the next time I am doing the loser dance on the bar.

God I HATE the loser dance. I swear...the owners should have to do the loser dance when they dont sell enough drinks or something so they see how it feels.

I'm sorry...but rewarding cheap ass guys who dont buy dances with a BUNCH of women dancing for them is retarted.

I have refused to do that cattle call "loser dance" onstage every time. Call me a little diva, but I wouldn't do it. And I would get in trouble for it. That's why I walked out of Hustler in SF, no fucking way will I get in a single file line and parade myself up and down the stage. I'm not a fucking runway model, and you aren't paying me to sashy, bitches!

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Catering to the lowest common denominator is never a good thing. Clearly the management don't know wtf they're doing

We charge $20 per song but I dont understand why if your club has been busy they would drop the prices of dances.

    What is the loser dance?

Cattle Call and Loser Dance... the club mgmt make the girls parade across the stage while they call your name then send you to customers to give a free table dance to. Pain in the fuckin ass.

Actually the loser dance in our club goes like this: you go up and do the "cattle call" lineup while they announce the 2 for 1. Then you go around trying to sell the 2 for 1. If you cant sell it to anyone..all the girls who didnt have to get up and dance either on stage or on the bar for those 2 songs. yeah...a bunch of girls are now dancing for all the cheapass guys who wouldnt even buy the 2 for 1. Real smart
IMO...if a guy wont buy the 2 for 1 he should be made to put his head down on the table and think about why he's there!!LOL!

The club hasnt been busy. Not like it was 6 months ago. nowhere close. They changed a cpl things then and all our customers left.
What they need to do (instead of just trying to attract cheap scumbags...which is what killed their other club) is go back to the way it was before....let the girls wear whatever instead of gowns(it is NOT a gown area). Let the guys touch boobs(or at least leave it up to the girl). This may seem shitty to some of you...but EVERY club around here is HIGH HIGH miliage and contact. When they stopped allowing this....our customers left in droves. While we may not LIKE guys feeling us up...most who work in this area are used to it.Actually custies expect MUCH more a lot of times, and if they cant get at LEAST that...they stop coming in.
STOP announcing the 2 for 1 every 5 minutes. DONT do one every hour on the hour....guys learn to wait for it.
Mix up the music. They are getting better at this....but they went to ONLY techno for awhile and even more custies left.
ADVERTISE more!!! The club is tucked away and after a yr and a half...guys still come in saying "I was just driving by and saw it..I had no idea there was a club here"

But they wont listen. I've had these arguments with the owners many times over the past few months. I swear..they dont actually want to make money. The club is prob just a fcront for something else like their other club was....

^^^LOL!!! I think they do it so much because it is kind of like a commercial break where they can announce their other nights..cause that's the only reason they keep us onstage so long. It is not like they are announcing our names or anything, just doing advertising. Does it work to bring them back in? Cause that is like an hour of time every night.

And the bartenders stripping on the mainstage during th 2-4-1 IS unusual around here, although sometimes their dancing makes me cringe inside.

The club has started staying open til 4am on the weekends, which is great because 2-4am is a quick, easy hustle....the guys come in drunker than 12-2am and know what they want.

At the DH the LDs were $20, we paid $3 to house...they went up to $25 in November with a $5 payout. My sales didn't change noticably...but the tips did. Probably about a 20% increase of tipping occurances--and those extra $3 per dance added significantly to earnings.

Thanks for clarifying that, the loser dance sounds awful. When u do the free table dances for the customers does the club pay u? I dont think dancers should ever have to dance for free - someone, whether customer or club should be paying.

No, the customer pays $25 for two songs, instead of $25/each. But the songs are shorter (about 2 minutes each).
