Default Shit, I liked that restaurant, too!

Because of my all-amazing spicy food diet, I go three times a week to a Thai place because they make it how I like it - with two extra tablespoons of crushed Birds Eye and Habenero in every dish.

So I was talking with the owner about how I loved his place and he mentioned there was one dish he knew of in Thailand that was the spiciest ever... a pawpaw (papaya) salad dish that's only eaten on special occasions.. I asked him to make it for me and he said he would when he got the ingredients...I left him my number so he could call me when it was available and then talked some more....yadda yadda...came here after work.. what do you do... he seemed cool so I mentioned I was a showgirl...yadda yadda....

    Go home.

Two hours later I receive this SMS (text message):

Hi morrigan, i really want to see you work. Please tell me where you will be working at this week. Sorry if this message freaks you out but you bring lite to my restaurant! Kind regards, steve, thai pheonix restaurant. Ps my wife ad I have an open relationship.
...it was the PS that really killed it.

Shit... I liked that place... and I still don't know what that papaya dish was.

Oh I'm just a retainer of weird factoids. The head bartender at the 1st club I worked at here in Florida was from Thailand. Mama made all kinds of wonderful food for us and for the parties we'd host a few times a year. Between her and the OMFG Thai food that was all over the area in Cali I lived in....

At least you got a peek at his real self. You know that phrase In Vino Veritas? The "Vino" should be replaceable.

text him back that since you consider him a personal friend you'd rather not have him see you perform.

maybe, for the sake of good food, you can repair this. try, at least.

I think it's called Cream of Sumyunguy.

    I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

Yeah but what I do for a living should have no leverage in how to treat me as a customer/human being. I don't see why that's why he should have made those remarks. Besides, doing this job in Australia is much less of a 'taboo' thing. People see it as cool and amazing.. it's odd to explain.

That being said, I got another message from him apologizing saying he was drunk and 'inappropriate at best'... so, even though I don't think he was drunk, I think he realized he fucked up.
