Well, I went lastnight to another club and GOT THE JOB! It's a smaller club, but it's very laid back and I was looking for something more laid back to "learn the ropes" more. The manager was a complete DOLL! Loved her! The other girls were really nice too! The scheduling is very flexible and the tip outs are very reasonable. The club really tries to help out the dancers rather than take every cent they make. For instance there's not set "house fee". I was told that you do 7 dances and you pay $35. That's $5 per dance but that's something I dealt with, PLUS a $20 or $30 house fee. If you do less dances, they prorate the fees. No minimum to the DJ!!!!! Of course you tip him something, but it's not $15 minimum like at my old club, and the one DJ we had if we didn't pay him he'd play us crap music and stuff to "get back" at us girls. Bouncer tip out and that's about it! No valet which I like. I liked a valet, but at my last club some of the attendants were quick to tell you that $4 was just the valet fee and "they worked only off of tips". My new club really seems to notice that dancers are the reason why the customers are coming in and treat them very nicely!
Beautiful club inside too!
I'm glad I'm working nights now so I don't have to scramble to find someone to pick my son up at school, or have to explain myself to my parents (they don't know I dance) about it. I also go in late enough to get to do the homework with my son, make dinner and spend a little time with my family. It's not as far as I was driving either, so my gas tank isn't empty when I get home each shift.
Can't wait to go back tonight!!!!!
