Why is it, that when I go to the shops wearing a simple straw cowboy hat to cover the fact that I'm having a seriously bad hair day, so many people feel the need to point and laugh and make snide little comments of "Yeehaw!" at me?
I went to the shops before to get some rubber bands and some bread, and walking through the tiny little mall I had 3 people point at me and say "Yeehaw!" or "Giddy Up Cowgirl!". Two people were ones I walked past, the other was when I walked past a health food store and overheard one of the ladies at the counter laugh and say "Yeehaw", at which the other girl snickered. I was seriously there for like 5 minutes and had numerous people pointing and laughing at me and making cowboy comments.
Is a cowboy hat really THAT much of a bizzare fashion statement?? I did not realise that it was such a huge deal. Considering how many popular stores are selling them now, I was not aware that a cowboy hat was something that so many people would laugh at and make a big deal out of.
It made me feel very uncomfortable and I ended up just getting the rubber bands and going home, as I didn't want to go into the supermarket to get some bread.
I wish we lived in a world where people were more tolerant of shit that doesn't affect them at all.
