I went to Vegas yesterday with plans on auditioning and hopefully working at Scores, maybe Sapphire. Vegas is close enough that if it didn't work out, I could just drive back. Well, it didn't work out.
I arrived at Scores at about 7:30, ready to audition. There were 3 other girls that auditioned at the same time. After we were done, the housemom took us back to the dressing room and told us that there was a new club called Sin and that they just bought it and they wanted us to work down there. She said it was a little slow right now, but should pick up. I hadn't even heard of this club and didn't want to bother. I feel like that was their plan all along, so why did they waste an hour of my time instead of just recommending I audition at Sin. A little frustrating...so I headed over to Sapphire and was in and out in literally 2 minutes. The manager was really nice, but said they weren't hiring for nights. I told him I wasn't interested in working days and that was that.
Back to my hotel I went and I sat in my car and thought for about 20 minutes and decided that I could A) go chasing around Vegas for a club to work at or B) go to my room and go to sleep. With option A, I would have gotten hired somewhere then sat on my ass all night because it's not where I wanted to be. Call me spoiled, but in many situations, if I don't get what I want, I'd rather just go without. Really. So, I went with option B and I'm home now and going to work in Phoenix tonight!
I'm glad I went, though, because if I hadn't, I'd be sitting around here dreaming about how much better it might be somewhere else. We have it really good here in Phoenix and I'm gonna stick around here now and make some money!

: I was supposed to take a Vegas work trip in April, but I've heard from alot of dancers the good clubs are turning almost everyone away. I want to go somewhere hot and relaxed for a few days. I know Vegas is anything but relaxed though...
