    Thumbs down OUCH! Abdominal Strain?

Ugh, so here's the deal: I worked out two days ago, and was fine. Yesterday, I spent a lot of time walking (like 3/4 hours) and I was fine at home in the evening. However, last night I was waking up with painful abdominal muscles and this morning I can't touch the lower right section of my abs (or my bellybutton area) without burning pain. Also if I stand up completely straight, it's painful, or if I twist my torso or flex my muscles at all.

How should I treat this?! And when do you guys think it happened...? Is it possible I could have strained it in my sleep?

Are you sure its not a hernia? Sounds painful and the way you describe it worse than regular post workout ab pain. For now try a heating pad and some pain killers and if that doesn't help in the next 3 days get to the doctor.

Sure thing. I would hope it's not a hernia, but that sounds like good advice... Thanks TM
