Default Clenbuterol - progress and side effects

There was quite a few people interested in Clenbuterol in my 'Xenical' thread, so I thought I'd start a new thread all about it. I've just started taking it, I'm on my third day. I was unable to get tablets, I could only get stuff straight from the vet, in a granule/powder form, called Ventipulmin. I mix a teaspoon in with orange juice and drink it, once a day.

Anyway, I'm in day three. So far the side effects I've had are nausea, extremely high-energy, shaking, laughing randomly at nothing, headaches, slight anxiety, and high body temperature (due to Clen raising your core temperature to burn fat). Did a kickass workout at the gym yesterday, I was so energetic and pumped... I sweat a lot more than I usually do though, so had to drink LOTS of water. The shaking isn't too bad, and the nausea only happens in the 5 mins after I drink the stuff, because it tastes like crap and the granules don't completely dissolve in the juice so drinking it down isn't exactly pleasant. It completely suppreses my appetite, I haven't felt hungry at all when I've been on it. I've still been eating as normal, though. To be completely honest, it feels a lot like being on meth.

No weight loss yet, but it's only day 3.

I've always wondered how high a person's blood pressure goes up and pulse goes up on Clenbuterol. No doubt it is an effective method for weight loss, but if you really look at the pharmacology, it is a pretty dangerous medication to take. Be careful

Okay, wow. I don't mean to sound like a pussy and I am NOT caffiene sensitive ( I drink at least 3 cans of redbull and countless diet cokes a day) but a diet pill (hydroxycut) landed my ass in the ER! Yep. I was in dance class and took some before class, and man did I feel great during that class. Til I woke up in the ER. I guess the hydroxycut and the working out raised my pulse rate so much my body passed out to lower my pulse and blood pressure, and I hit my head on a ballet bar. Not fun!!

    So be careful sweetie

*sorry, hope I didn't sound too mommyish there*

I don't know what to say to your post Darcy as I'm on ephedra. Just be careful and very aware of your body. If it feels like you're going to have a heart attack go ahead and sit down.

I used to take hydroxycut - like 6 pills a day at one time. Jittery but skinny! lol I had to cut down as they started to mess with my mood.

Oh, I didn't mean that post to sound like I was worried or the side effects were bad. I was just giving a report on what it's like for those that are interested. I'm very aware of the precautions to take, and I'm only taking a small dose. So far I haven't felt anything anywhere near intense enough to make me feel worried or need to sit down or something. My heart doesn't feel fluttery, I feel energised and a bit shakey but I don't feel like I'm bordering on a heart attack!

Is it an amphetamine, do you know?

Do you find your thought processes affected?

    I don't think it's an amphetamine, no.

Thought processes haven't been affected at all. I've been very alert, and a little jumpy, but I'm still functioning as normal.

Clen is a bronchodilator. It's prescribed usage is to dilate the airways in the lungs mainly for asthma sufferers. Clenbuterol = Large Farm Animals; Albuterol = Humans

Darcy are you building/pyramiding your dose (ie 1 dose on first day, 2 doses on second day, etc?)

Also, be sure to get adequate carbs while taking this med b/c Clen is known to block insulin absorbstion and if you go lowcarb it could be bad news.

    Darcy--

What lola said..also, you are supposed to only do 2 days on, 2 days off for 2 weeks..then after a 2 week break you start up again. Don't get discouraged, this is to prevent your body from adapting to it and the side effects are less.

Lola, yes I'm doing the pyramid thing.

Heidi - that's one way of taking it. There's no definite way that you're 'supposed' to do it, because I've spent hours researching everything there is to know about Clen, and some people think it's better to do it every day for 3 weeks, others think it's better to do it 2 days on 2 days off....

I've said it before and I'll say it again: are all the gross side effects from this worth losing 5-10 pounds?

You may not feel that way if you actually end up experiencing the side effects. It's misleading to assume that just by "cycling doses" or whatever that it makes Clenbuterol "safe" because it by no means does.

    You still risk:

    "Side effects of clenbuterol include:
    Headaches
    Muscular tremors (especially hand shakes)
    Muscular cramps
    Nervousness
    Insomnia
    Sweating
    Increased appetite
    Nausea
    Palpitations
    Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Possible cardiac hypertrophy as clen also targets cardiac and smooth muscle fibres
Heart muscle necrosis has been demonstrated in animal studies

Clen can have some serious side effects (like sudden death) at very high dosages. Clen is very hard on your system."

And this comes from a bodybuilding website. Even those badasses agree it's tough on the system.

What do people have against eating less and being more active or even getting lipo rather than risking atrophying their heart muscles? Usually the people I hear talking about Clenbuterol enthusiastically do none of these things (or at best not nearly enough of them) and just want an easy fix.

Thanks; it's a bit tongue-in-cheek, but it has nothing to do with the thread topic...

You might have missed the thread where I said that I was getting severely depressed over the fact that I bust my ass in the gym 4 days a week AND train with a personal trainer 2 days a week AND watch my diet very strictly and eat very well, but I'm still having trouble shifting the fat from my hips and stomach. Clenbuterol is a last resort, because I'm gonna end up in an asylum if I don't get rid of my lovehandles so I can stop hating myself for them.

    Darcy,

When I train for bike/runnning events I use a heart rate monitor. I suggest you use one as well for cardio.

It is a belt you fit around just under your sportsbra, and the watch it comes with shows your heart rate.

You train in different heart rate zones, like 80% of your max heart rate (roughly 220-your age)is a really intense work out, 60-70% is usually sufficient for casual weight loss etc.

I am recommending this not so much for the clenbuterol thing, although it would be EXTREMELY helpful to monitor your heart rate (like if you are flirting too much with 200 beats per minute, you will know to lower your intensity) but also to monitor the intensity of your workouts so you get a more accurate view of how hard you are working out. Any trainer at your gym should be able to school you further on the use of a hr monitor.

Darcy.. I'm sorry, but this just isn't healthy. Why are you putting so much importance on five pounds, woman? You are willing to risk your health over that? Don't you realize how crazy that sounds? You have a beautiful body and you need to see that.

I mean, you're taking a chemical manufactured for farm animals...

It's not five pounds, it's thirteen. I had my conversions all wrong before... I'm currently 138lb and I want to be 125lb (I'm 5'9"). And yes, I'm willing to risk my health over it. I'm fucking sick of customers calling me a fatty and telling me I have a fat ass and I'm sick of being bigger than all the other girls at work. It's easy for people to bitch and say it's not healthy, but unless you know how it feels to always be known as "the bigger girl" you can't understand why I'm so desperate to do anything to get rid of the weight.

And hey, I used to regularly use Ketamine for recreational purposes, and that's a veterninary anisthetic, so it's not like this is the first time I've injested animal medication.

Shit... people are calling you fat? WTF is up with that? I'm 5'4" and weigh about what you do and I never got called fat at work. That's fucked up!

You're smoooooooooking hot girlie, don't let anyone tell ya otherwise!

Anyhow I have no relavant input as I can't do diet pills, that make me uselessly ill. Just be careful eh?

Yeup, thats how I feel too. I'm the "thick girl" too. Why cant I be the normal healthy looking girl with a nice ass to people? I wish athletic/healthy was the normal standard but its not.

Exactly. Some of the girls at work have been lecturing me about taking Clen, meanwhile they stand there with their perfect flat stomachs and their perfect tight asses that they don't even work for. If you're not the girl always referred to as "curvy" and "thick" and "bigger" you just don't understand.

Anyway, this wasn't supposed to be a thread about my body image issues, it was supposed to be about my experiences with a drug that other people were interested in taking.

Just got back from pumping some serious iron with my personal trainer. Today was the first time I'd done weights on Clen and holy crap was I motivated, I was lifting much heavier than usual. I probably pushed it a little too far, at one point my whole body got very shakey and I got very light headed and dizzy and probably nearly fainted, but I stopped immediately and we sat for 5 mins and had some water and I was fine. But that was my own fault because I was definitely trying to go too hard.

I'm only on day 4 but I've already lost some weight. Nothing huge on the scales, but I'm wearing a pair of shorts that fit comfortably on Sunday, and they're now quite loose.
