In a town car headed to airport for the 2 hour ride home after a brutal week of biz travel. What'll happen if I pop a xanax and have a drink?

Not much. Expect the Xanax to intensify the drink a bit, and the drink to amplify the Xanax. Just know how they both effect you individually to start with and be careful.

Don't pop a whole 4-bar/monkey bar.
If you're not used to taking Xanax, you may fall asleep once you get settled on the plane.
Bingo, Glam. Had one martini (Grey Goose, three olives), a sandwich wrap and a juice. Konked out in the lounge; just boarded. Only negative some lower back pain that I attribute to stress, hauling bags thru Manhattan and late nites.

Be careful! If you're not used to taking xanax or drinking, there is a small chance you could slip into a coma because they're both depressants. I've taken xanax and had a couple drinks plenty of times but I take xanax on a regular basis. Wouldn't drink on xanax if it was the first time taking it. The first time I took a xanax I slept for 16 hours straight, knocked me out! I took it at the mall and was basically sleep walking while holding onto my friend, couldn't wait to get home and in bed!

^^ yeah, but it has a different effect on everyone. when i took a bar for the first time, it *didnt* put me to sleep.
Chi...watch out for female sexual predators that will try to get you to pop xanax with booze. You can get waking amnesia, wake up with no pants on, and will have no memory of the entire debauchery!! You'd want to remember, right?![]()

Yea, that's what I thought would happen... Xanax puts me to sleep withOUT the booze. But, any downer painkiller or anti-anxiety pill does that when I combine it with booze (um, which is bad and not something I normally do).
Crap, now I want a grey goose martini with extra olives and it's 10:30am!
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
Every one drink consumed on an aircraft at high altitudes is equal to two drinks. I wouldn't recommend a Xanax. I would have one drink at the airport before boarding then another once I got airborne. You don't want to appear "dead" or unable to act during an emergency situation if necessary.
