I sleep like 5-6. I'm running down. Theres very few nights where I get 7 hours or more. If my body had no need for sleep I wouldn't sleep at all.

Lately I've been sleeping allll the time. Like 12 hours last night. I think its the rainy weather. But anyway, if I have to get up, I set a regular alarm clock and then one on my phone for 10 minutes later. For some reason setting two really helps me wake up.

I get around 7-8...occasionally it'll be a little more or little less depending on what time I wake up and how I'm feeling.

I really only NEED 6 hours, but if I can get it I'd rather have 8. I love sleeping, but if I also hate to feel I wasted my whole day asleep. I have noticed though that if I get in the habit of sleeping for like 10 hours, I want to keep getting ten hours and it takes me a minute to adjust...

I do well with about 6 or so. I try to get 7-8, but that almost never happens.

I take something that makes me sleep, and I sleep 7 1/2 hours then wake up. There's no waking me up before that, I fall back asleep or I pass out if somebody trys to get me up early. If I don't take my meds, I stay awake until I take them, I just don't get sleepy.

I aim for 8 a night, sometimes this drops to 6 if it's assessment time, but lately I've had horrible sleep problems. On a night when I'm not working, It's taking me about 2 hours to fall asleep, then I wake up every hour or so, and wake up for good after about 4 hours. And when I actually am asleep, I'm actually half awake but can't wake up completely but can't get to sleep and it hurts - I feel like I'm in pain and my flatmate says I spend a lot of my sleep time crying and sometimes I start crying out really loudly

On nights when I do work, I just wake up after about 5 hours, straight up, without the ability of getting back to sleep. It's driving me insane

I get around 4-5 hours on nights before my (8:30) mon/ wed classes, and about 5 or 6 when I've got my noontime tues thurs classes. I've been spending the weekends staying up too late, and I'm too used to waking up early, so about 2 or 3. I had a chance to sleep in today, and this moron from the club ( a reg of 3 years) calls at 7:42 am just to say he was thinking about me.... wait untill after at least 10 damnit!!!

    IF I can sleep....

    When I work job #1: I sleep from 6am - 3pm on night shifts, 2am - 9am on day shifts.

    When I work job #2: I sleep from 6am - 3 or 4pm.

When I work job #3: I sleep from 9am - 3pm (if I have to work job 1 or 2) or until 4 or 5pm (if I have the day off)

    If I dont work, I sleep from 6am - 3 or 4pm.

Ladies 5 hours or less! that is terrible for your health and metabolism - naughty girls.

I love my sleep I get at the very minimum 8 hours but usually 9 or 10.

There was just a study that said if you sleep for more than 7 hours a night, you don't live as long. But...if you don't sleep for at least 6 a night, you screw up your metabolism and your general health. SO it seems that between 6-8 hours a night is ideal, but it also depends on the person. I do best on 9 hours a night, my bf, on the other hand, only needs about 5-6 a night and does just fine.

honestly it really depends. you really only need 4 hrs a day, and those don't even need to be consecutive 2 sets of 2 hour will actually keep you going (they do this alot in the military and in med interning) i think it just depends on the person. if you feel rested after 4 then great if it's more like 9 then great

Well actually getting less than 7 has been linked to obesity and heart disease and a lowered immune system.

I have to have at least 8 to function, or I'm ornery. I can run off of 5 if I have to, but I crash fast.

Amen, sister, I can't even tell you how refreshing this is to hear--yah I desparately want to stop too, glad to know I'm not alone. Do you find that you feel your freshest upon first waking up? Or does it take you a few hours to really be at your peak?

7-8 hours for me. At 6 hours I'm in a fog, at 5 hours I can hardly function.

6-9. I usually alternate one night 6, the next night 9. Less than six, I feel physically ill by the end of the day.

I think dancing totally screwed up my sleeping habits. No matter how hard I try now I can not go to bed before 11pm and at with work sometimes I have to get up at 3am.
