    Default Dramamine

The med threads got me inspired---this is my sleeping pill of choice, you know, the anti-motion sickness ones. I use it when I know I will be hungover and on airplanes so that I can sleep! But it DOES have groggy effects when u wake up. None of the other OTC meds with sleep agents do ANYTHING for me, must be some weird chemical in the Dramamine.

Who has used this? How would u compare it to Xanax or anything else? Isn't Xanax prescription?

Dramamine is good for planes and road trips - you only sleep about 4 hours, give or take a few. Ambien is my choice for prescription sleep aid - fall asleep within 5 minutes of taking it and wake up in 8 hours completely refreshed and not groggy.

I also take tylenol pm or nyquil, but find I wake up groggy with those.

Xanax is a prescription benzodiazapine which aids in anxiety problems. If taken for its inteneded purpose, it usually will not work as a sleep aid unless more than the usual dose is taken. I take it as directed and it doesn't help me sleep at all. For people who do not have anxiety issues or don't take it on a regular basis, it may knock you out for a few hours and will make you feel groggy afterwards since it stays in the system for a long time.

I have no idea how it would be compared to an anti motion sickness medicine.
