Default Some questions about being plastic... ;)

Hey, I was curious... when most girls here got their boobs, did they start seeing other faults in their body? My whole life I've only seen it in my boobs, I love the rest of me.. I'm just worried once I get boobs I'll go, 'gee, I need lipo...' or something silly. Just hoping I don't have BDD or something.

Also... today I got my hair layered (never have gotten my hair done before - ever) all porn star and I got french tipped gel acrylics (never have I gotten white, always black tips) and I'm wondering if it's common to start 'beautifying' yourself more when you have a major surgery coming up. All of a sudden I'm trying more to 'fit in' to the porn-star/stripper lifestyle than I ever have before.

I'm also fawning over some Dior sunnies and might get (*gasp*) contacts! D:

Interestingly enough, it looks good on me.

Fuck, my 16 year old goth self would hate me if she saw what I become.

i know the feeling. i went from loser hippy wildchild, dont believe in fake shit or labels or celebrities, and celebrating the music, love and 3rd world nations...

    you can still be both.

just dont change your insides to match the outsides, and you'll be awesome!!!

the only two parts i wanted to change was my boobs and nose. but your right, once i done my boobs, i started tanning, and doing nails, and spending a fortune on good makeup, now im thinking of getting my lips done, i want extentions... the list is always neevr ending

it does worry me how many girls at work are coming up with body dismorphic type personalities tho. one girl last night refused to work cos her eyes were droopy. no one else could see it, but she was devo and went home. weird.

    people change.

you said your 16 yr old salf would hate you. ok, well, that's normal. my 14 yr old self would hate ME aswell. I imagined myself married and preggo by 19, not working as a stipper and having sex outside of marriage.

the real question is do you hate your current self? as long as you don't, there is nothing wrong with beautifing yourself. Just stick to your inner beliefs, and you'll be fine, and if those beliefs continue to change, so be it

see, the thing is, this was what I always wanted but could never afford. Now that I can, I feel like I can be what I want. I have the money, why not have the nice things? Kinda like, 'wow, I'm worth all there nice things now and I still can save for a house!' I love it. My life is so fabulous right now.

Oh yes, my 15 year old tom-boy self, who hated girly girls and gagged at the mere thought of dressing up would so want to kick my pink wearing, make-up adoring big boobed ass right now!

Once I got my boobs done, yes I wanted to spruce up other parts of me. But surgery wise, the only thing I wanted to change was my tummy form having had a baby, I did that, and now I just go nuts at the gym.

If you are having fun and you like what you are doing with yourself, then go for it sweety! There's nothing wrong with it at all! And by the by, I think a sexy gothic porn star look is just delicious!!!!

Do what makes you feel good. Why shouldn't you want to look your very best?? My 14 year old self would be shocked and appalled at some of the things I'm okay with! One of the things I love most about stripping is I've learned so much - about makeup, tanning, hair, nails, fitness, personal style, etc. Looking good = feeling good, or at least better than if you didn't. I used to think I was pretty damn hot when I first started dancing, but now I look back, and think "that girl was a mess!"

And there's nothing wrong at all with Dior sunnies and contacts

insanelenses.com - the watercolors brand are pigmented enough to turn dark brown eyes bright blue. no experience with the other ones (yet!).

I had my nose done first, but I always wanted my boobs done. Unfortunaetly I couldn't afford both things at once. But now that I have had both done, I do find myself doing way more high maitnance stuff...hair, nail, make-up, tanning...ect...Always shopping for new clothes. But body wise, there really isn't anything I want to change surgically. I would never do lipo...I would just hit the gym harder.

I only read the OP. I got my nose done and boobs done at the same time. Those were the two things about my looks that bothered me that I wanted to get fixed. I still don't like my nose though, I don't think I ever will. Wanting contacts is not a bad thing, they are actually better for driving in my case (no glare, no blind spots.) Wanting to change your look is nothing I think a girl should ever have to feel bad about. People were made differently, science helps us make ourselves what we want to be. I don't think you have bdd lol.

Please forgive me for hi-jacking the thread - I just wanna ask - have you had the consultation yet? Do you have any dates? Are you planning to blog about it .. your thoughts etc before .. during .. and after the BA ?

Whilst I am not inclined to have a BA (TBH I'm shit scared of hospitals and try to stay the hell away from hospitals and doctors and anything medical as much as is humanly possible) I do not begrudge those who have made a well researched/knowledge-abel decision to go ahead with one.

Never say never at the same time for me.

Who cares what your younger self would think of you. Its how you feel now about yourself. Do you like what you are going or going to be doing to your body? Are you comfortable with what you are doing/deciding right now? If yes, then everything is all good.

Just recently I've been thinking about lipo but the thought of getting messed up or not liking it afterwards scares the hell outta me eventhough there has been many other successful lipo procedures every body is different. I won't do it though. I have boobie greed too and won't "super-size" at this point. I might not ever want to after I loose the last bit of weight.

I don't think you have BDD. When was getting your nails french tipped instead of black and going for a BA consult ever BDD? Granted I don't know you; you don't seem like the person who has BDD.

I'm becoming more and more tempted to go plastic myself...but in the opposite way to most of the girls here. I've been dying to get a breast reduction/lift for a while (I loathe my DD cups- the shape's fine, but the size and incipient droop aren't) and I've always wanted rhinoplasty (and maybe some liposuction around the hip/thigh/stomach area while we're at it). Unfortunately I'm fairly broke and rather scared of the idea of major surgery, money aside. I wish I could give LM some of my breast size- then we'd both be happy ;P.

My 14-year-old self would loathe me too, mainly because of the way my body's mutated since then. Hell, my current self disapproves strongly of the busty/hourglass thang I'm stuck with. Also, my 14-year-old self mightn't be pleased with my being unmarried and STILL not finished with university. I think she'd approve of plastic surgery, though. She was a highly image-conscious chick, and she never did like that nose.

On the actual topic, though I've never had cosmetic surgery (as of yet, anyway), I've found that losing most of my post-car accident weight has made me care more about how I look, though I don't bother to dress up if I'm only going to the shops or an early morning class.

my 14 year old self would be excited to see that I've got boobs now!! But she would wonder why the hell it took me til 32 to get 'em!!

I def still see flaws...i'll never be perfect(hell..nobody is). Now I'm just concentrating on losing weight and toning up. Before all I saw in the mirror was my flat chest and fat hips and stomache....not I just see the stomache and hips as bad...but seeing that the boobs are so nice now makes me happy and inspires me to fix the rest.(wow that was a big run on sentance...forgive me I'm tired)
I would have lipo again though. Not as a habit or anything...but my dr wouldnt do any more then he did the first time....I had my BA done at the same time and he didnt want to traumatize too much of my body at once. I'd have my hips and upper abs done...maybe inner thighs and a little on the butt too. It seems no matter how much I work out and diet...those pockets wont fucking move. It's infuriating...so if I get the money and time.I'll do it.
Hell..I wouldnt mind doing my nose too while I'm at it...fix everything damn it!!(J/K) If anyone has seen the show A Chorus Line...the song "dance 10 looks 3" now comes to mind!! (get it all done...honey take my word...grab a cab go on see the wizard on park and 73rd...for Tits and ass......lol)

You don't sound like you have BDD at all! You're just going through another phase in your life.

hmmm i know exactly wut u mean. and ive been feeling like u described alot lately.

i mean before i was a stripper....i was more...i dont know...i wasnt into nails and hair and clothes and fancy makeup and what not. i was more hippie...and i mean i still am....but i decided i didnt care about sterotypes anymore. i am what i am...and i dont wanna be classified under just one thing like hippie. i mean, i jus wanted to be ME. like if i love the beatles always but still shake my ass and get naked to ludacris or whatever - so be it. if im wearing a longish 70's print skirt but have friggin' french tip glittery fake nails - whatever. its me.

plus yes once u have the money and can afford nice things - why not? u only live once and money was meant to be spent - why wud u jus work a bunch and not spend it, right?

i mean im already a DD so im not guna get my boobs done...however when they start gettin saggy uill prolly get a breast lift. and i wanted 2 get my hair "down theere" permanetly removed and also a few scars removed...and dye my hair red(im a natural brunette) but eh!

i mean as long as u are who u are ....DOING what YOU like...no matter if sometimes if its hyproctictal of something else u do, then how can u go wrong, right?
