Ok, I am trying to start private dancing for parties of 5 or less. And, sometimes a one-on-one sessions. And, I was wondering, what you all thought about having your customers signing a contract prior to attending the engagements.

Sounds dodgy! Maybe rather then having a contract, get a website and put your booking conditions on there, that way you can say by booking with me you abide by all the conditions as per www.xxxxxx

Good idea! I never thought of that...do you think (.com) is fine or should I go with a (.net)? I'm not sure if this makes a difference, I'm not really a web kinda girl, only the basics. Thanks for your input!

.com if you can acquire it !!
then things like .biz, .info, .net and so forth if you can't get the .com

Whatever you do, just be careful. I have heard bad stories about "private" parties when the group is small. A contract or anything that would protect you is an absolute. I would recommend a "mace ring", a ring that you wear that ejects mace when you press it. Just google it and you will find one. Not trying to scare you, just better to be safe than sorry, especially if you don't have security with you.
ok... so what is a contract going to do? if the guys are going to be ass wipes, they are going to be so whether they sign a contract or not!
Better off having a site where they can see photos, services, prices etc (trust me they will ask for photographs) and have a conditions of booking and list your rules there ... also TAKE ALONG A SECURITY DRIVER WITH YOU!! REGARDLESS....
Guys will ask questions about the contract - and to them it is 'proof they used your services' so they would be worried about g/f wifre, friends, family finding out they use strippers!
Dont make your service so complicated they dont want to use it! After all - they could just hire a prostitute and get a similar service with out having to sign bs contracts...
As long as you get your money and you have security, a contract will mean SFA

The agency that I work for requires signed (by the entertainer & the party giver) contracts before even starting the show. Pretty much it tells the policies and the agreements that are required for a safe show. It is a three piece form that copies onto the others. The party giver, entertainer, and agency all get a signed copy of the agreement.
Here's a few examples of what is on this form...
"The entertainer agrees and Party giver acknoledges that no illegal acts will be performed by the entertainer and party giver agrees that he or she will now, and will not allow and of party givers guest to, solicit such acts."
"Party giver is entering into this agreement on behalf of himself amd his or her guests for the purpose of entertainment and not for the purpose of harassment, arrest, or gathering evidence tfor use in any type of legal proceedings."
I've worked for many agencies and this is by far the best on that I have worked for. I feel a lot safer knowing that there is a contract out there and it kinda "scares" the guys into acting a little more appropriate. ANd by me signing it, it lets the guys know that I'm serious about certain things that I do and don't do. I've NEVER had a party giver deny a show because of this contract.

i do private shows, but i always try to have security, and if i don't, i make a contract via email before we meet, so that if anything happens to me, the guy/girl won't get away with it.
i had my lawyer write up a contract, you def need one esppecially if you are using credit cards to charge tips on. also if you don't want people taking videos and pics, this will protect you.
"I need a Win Dixie grocery bag full of money right now to the vip section...."
Thanks...yeah I am definitely going to bring my own security. I decided to choose a small group to start out because I figured that they would be easy to handle & warm up to. Then once my confidence level is a little higher, I'll do larger parties. I am used to the SW setting, where there are a lot of guys around you but you're ultimately on a stage. I have researched some web hosting companies, & .com is available! Now I have to figure out how to market my site right or would u suggest going through an agency.
.....I am in DC & I don't trust any agency's here but then again, I'm naive when it comes to the whole agency bid![]()
I don't understand what you write in the contract?? What's the conditions or the terms of the contract?
Just have them agree to the terms and conditions via email if possible. Not everyone has email, so you might have to just go over the terms with them verbally. Sort of like when you buy anything online you have to click to accept the terms of the contract.
After they click the terms agreement then they can pay for the requested services.
Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!
I did a private party this weekend & I sent the contract to the client via email. He called me with some questions & I clarified them. After that he excepted the terms & things went smoothly!!I made more money than I expected! It was like a good night in a SC! I'm gonna do it via email until I get a website.

We find that getting a deposit via credit card and a contract helps keep things in line. If they don’t like the terms of your contract upfront its best to let the party go. The credit card deposit gives us access to their info like address and such. Add to that I always have my manager or bouncer with me.

I don’t think Pay pal will allow adult entertainment. I know they can't be used for adult websites but I am not sure about dancing.

Does the dancer wealth courses cover these types of things, you know dealing with payment options for private dancing or is it just for when you're in a Strip club setting?![]()

Well, I'm still going to take the courses because this is a trial run, you never know what may happen...I might be back in SC's before you know it![]()

I rarely do privates but when I do I require 50% payment upfront. I also have made my fees high enough to discourage aholes. If you look and act professional youll have less problems than if you act like an amateur.
Youll still have aholes out there but if you have security, get money upfront and act professional youll get that back in spades.
