Default What exactly is a booking?

I have been on this site for a while and I hear alot of girls talking about having a booking agent and that they book clubs...what exactly is that?
I would really love to travel around and dance with all my expenses paid but I am not a "feature" and I really have no desire to do so. Do you have to be a feature dancer to do bookings and have a agent?
Basically I am just kinda curious to how this works, and I did a search which came up less than fruitful.
Anyone information would be awesome, thanks girlies!

If your in the US or eastern Canada you can travel around and work no problem, you just pick a list of clubs in cities and call them asking them about getting hired. In the US I do not recomend telling them your just passing through, say your moving to the city.

You can also work through Janet at she can set you up with clubs.

In eastern Canada(Ontario and east) you can just show up at clubs and work usually.

Western Canada requires agents as the clubs are strictly features and showgirls.

I am assuming that the only way to get in contact with Janet is by filling out a dancer application, is this correct?
If so, I guess I cant find anything out til I get a full body picture of myself for the application. But thanks for the info...
I want to dance in the US, but I dont wanna feature, so is an agent a good thing to have or does it just not really matter?

^ It's not all-expenses paid, though. It's the same as going by yourself, except with a few extra perks like accom.

You can do it with or without an agent. I use Janet sometimes, sometimes not.

Some clubs book house dancers in advance, mostly the smaller ones in the Midwest. A booking is just a scheduled time period you're supposed to be at a particular club.
