I was just wondering if anyone had a interesting story to why they picked their stage name. Mine is Aphrodite because I love Greek mythology and Aphrodite is the goddess of passion and love.

Mine is Jessica. There isn't really an interesting story behind it. I am a fan of Jessica Simpson tho![]()
I wanted a name that sounded like a real woman's name to reduce the amount of "what's your real name" questions all night.
Iris because I like the flower its pretty im pretty so it all goes together![]()

Number of times Rickrolled on stage: 6

Marasmus ... "Ladies don't fart. They butt-laugh."
Marasmus says, "Oh no, that wasn't gas, it was merely a rectal chuckle."
Marek says, "A friend of mine got punched in the face by a dominatrix stripper about two weeks ago and I thought of you."
LOL I never knew how annoying it must be for people with weird names untill I started dancing with Aphrodite as my name. Not only is it hard for peole to say it but the club is loud so it makes it worse. LOL but I love the name too much to care.
My stage name is Delicious because when I was 18 before I starte ddancing, I did somehting really dumb and tattooed Delicious on my back. So even when I try to change my name, I still get called Delicious. Ive been trying to go by Kaylin, but it just isnt working to well...I just get called delicious anyway. I hate it now...
I think I'm going to go with Yelena or Savina. They are both Russian names but go well with the "exotic" look and persona I'm trying to cultivate.
^ natalie is still russian-esque, and people can pronounce itit gets old fast if it's not easy!!
my xcurrent name is honey, b/c i dyed my hair blonde and it's cute![]()
my stage name is my real first name. i see no reason to hav a fake name.
however, i hav thought about changing my name to RYAN cos its unusual and memorable.
"Sex is currency. What's the use of being beautiful if you can't profit from it?" - Lily St Cyr (40's burlesque dancer)
I have 3 stage names.
My first is Luscious. I just picked it because my real name starts with an L and it was easy for me to correct myself if I started to give a custie my real name. I use this at black clubs.
My second name is Aeris. I'm a big Final Fantasy dork and I also love the greek goddess of discord and mischief. I use this at white clubs.
My third name is Nikki. I got it from the Prince song. I love Prince. I use this name at the mixed race private parties I work.
I also want to go by Vanity but I haven't had a chance to use it yet.

"It's just a matter of people having low self esteem and being way too easily offended." -Random Guy on a Internet Forum
In other words: Boo-motherfucking-hoo
My first name was Priscilla. I had no idea what I wanted my name to be and a girl suggested it, so I was like what the hell. I think its pretty and don't hear of too many Priscillas.
The name I go by now is Jewel. I'm kind of wanting a new name though. And I've danced by Kira and Tatum.

Isis - the Kemetic/Egyptian Goddess of Magic
It's a fantasy, right?

I am going by Veronica, I was looking for something that could be easily pronounced and understood in English and in Spanish.
I used to go by Mia, for the same reasons and because I live in Miami...but now I hate it...too cutesy.
The first name I used (for a really short period of time) was Isabella because I thought it sounded elegant (I was 20). Bella popped into my head and it just seemed to FIT me, ya know? I've been using it for four years and I'm seriously attached to it. It's like it IS my name. I go by Rain at a club I work at... simply because Bella was taken. It's a brand of vodka I like (that I never drink anymore, though).
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
Mine is Madison because its the street I lived on when I was the most happy with my life...
Hey, my best friend dances as Isabella too.![]()
I dance as Frenchy. Back in the 50s my grandmother would wear fishnets to her office, and the other office gals would tell her she looked very 'Frenchy' when she did. Frenchy is an old slang for risque.
Frenchy is also my favorite charactor in Grease, who was a total glamourpuss. So sometimes I just tell people I named myself after the Grease charactor, haha.
When I got my dancers license I registered a lot of other names as well, but thats the only one I'm currently using.
^That's really unique! I like it!... It makes me want french fries, though.

Mine is Chanel. I used to be Nina, Naomi and Michelle. I don't know if it fits me as well but I'm stuck with it. The girl that had it at a previous club was hot and I kinda copied her name.

I'm thinking I'm gonna go by Lacey. It's pretty and sweet.
I originally wanted to go by Mandy cuz my first name is Amanda (tho i go by my middle name, Isabel, IRL) but everyone said it sounded too white and I needed to play up the whole Hispanic thing. Ummm, no. lol. I don't even speak Spanish!![]()
"Max Power- I got it off a hair dryer!" (Homer Simpson)![]()
I go by a couple names, but I use Maxine because my godmother was named Maxine- she up and disappeared, so I guess I learned my first stripper lesson from her- be a disappearing act![]()

i went by my real name for a longass time (tina).
i wanted to think of a stage name but i just kept coming back to tina, so i ended up just switching a letter and making it nina. it is the closest thing to my real name, so it doesn't feel weird introducing myself as that. i love cool names like aphrodite, i just wouldn't feel comfortable with a name like that... doesn't feel like 'me'!
hits from the boooong
I currently go by Ashley. One of my regulars picked it for me when I switched clubs in SF and there was already a Madeline (my previous name) working there. It's been 2 years and I'm not sick of the name yet, so I think I'll keep it!
