Not where I work....I'm scared to go elsewhere now. I was considering the Rhino in downtown LA, but not if it's gonna be like that

Some clubs yes, some clubs no. Lapdances are more expensive here than anywhere else I've seen... $40 or $50 for nude is the average. The dancer only keeps about $25 of that though.

rhino torrance charges 20 bucks house fee before 8pm, 45 bucks after and they do not take a percentage of ur dance fee which is $15 (most guys give $20). u just tip out to dj, security, and manager upon leaving.

Functionally and in for all practical purposes, isn't a tip to the manager a house fee??

No. some clubs have mandatory house fees and are stated so in your contract etc. the tip to the manager is separate and totally different.

I refuse to tip management. It's extortion. There is no damn reason to do it; he's already being paid by the club and he does nothing to earn a tip. I get so sick of people in this business trying to shake down the dancers.

I do (or did) when it's required of me. As unfair as this is, you have to do this to work at some of the pricier clubs (Rhino, Silver Reign, probably 4Play and the like). Usually it is $1 for every dance you do. And then you tip the DJ and bouncer the same way. Then you tip the waitress $1 for every drink she brings you that the customer paid for.
Yes, usually after tipping everyone and paying your house/dance fees, you end up giving away about 40 - 45% of your earnings.
It is TOTAL extortion and I hate it, but that's where the money is. I'd make more working at one of these clubs than if the tipout were lower.

i also don't tip management, fortunately i work at a club where the only person we tip is the dj end of story. in ca it really depends on you i've never had a problem making 300+ a night...alot more on weekends. i have alot of regulars though and i work my ass off when i'm at work.

I believe she said Deja Vu NoHo once? Maybe that was a while ago and she changed clubs...if that's the case, I'd never work there. I auditioned there once and realized it wasn't for me.

That depends upon so many variables. It's hard to say for sure.
