Default Total Eclipse Of The Moon Tonight!

    Woot!

Here in the United States, you have to be in the eastern half of the country to witness totality. At the end of the day on Saturday, go outside and face east. As the sun sets behind your back, a red Moon will rise before your eyes--Maximum eclipse is at 6:21 p.m. EST.

OOOOooo they had a pic the other day on AOL of the 'red' moon (it passed by the sun & got a red appearance). A couple wks ago, Saturn's rings were supposed to be at their most visible, including the separations.
I didn't even know til yesterday that there was gonna be an eclipse..watch out folks!

Should we slaughter a sheep or something? Perhaps a cabbage?

We didn't get to see the eclipse in L.A. and I was in the studio shooting my short all night, but we left at early dawn to get a sunrise shot across town, and as we were leaving there was the largest, reddish harvest moon I've ever seen. It looked beautiful. I think it was a good omen... at least I hope so. It was really cool and disorienting at one point because we had the sun rising behind us and a huge red moon setting in front of us, and it looked like two sunrises!

It's gonna be cloudy here till after Tax Day.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

for thousands of years, "Blood on the Moon" has been considered to be a very bad omen !

"A "blood moon" is noted in the Bible's book of Revelations of Saint John The Divine, as a sign from God that the book of seven seals had been opened as evidence that God's wrath was upon man."

Historically, 'blood on the moon' is associated with such events as the assassination of the emperor Domitian, the legend of Salome' and the ruin of King Herod etc.

Mideival Rabbinical teachings hold that " When the sun is in eclipse, it is a omen for the nations of the world.; when the moon is in eclipse, it is a bad omen for Israel, because Israel fixes the calendar (reckons time) by the moon, while the nations of the world count it by the sun. If the eclipse occurs in the east it is a bad omen for those who dwell in the east; if its occurs in the west it is a bad omen for those who dwell in the west; if it occurs in the center of the heaven it is a bad omen for the whole world. If its visage becomes the color of blood [it is a sign that] the sword is about to befall the world"

it just so happens that last night's 'blood moon' was centered over the middle east !

Also, the appearance of a Blood Moon in the early part of the year is extremely unusual !

Maximum eclipse is at 6:21 p.m. EST.

Which would mean 5:21 CST, in other words daytime.

I missed the festivities thinking that I could see it later on. I took a peek just before heading to work (right before Midnight) and wouldn't you know it was just a normal looking white moon.

Oh well, we get another shot on August 28, and again next year on February 21.
