    Default NY style dancer gowns

    Hello,

Does anyone have the number or can anyone recommend a costume lady/house mom who sells or makes NY style dancer gowns. I have a friend who is starting in the city and the gowns the costume ladies in NJ just don't cut it in my opinion. I don't have 6 weeks to wait on online stores. Thanks!

I didn't know NY had it's own style of gowns? And a lot of online stores have express delivery these days.

Uh yea ...if there were such a thing, I doubt NJ style would be different....maybe you mean the availability in stores?

I may be wrong, but I heard there was an awesome selection of dresses at PEC that are hand made or custom. Maybe call PEC and talk to the house mom about the woman who makes them?

The housemom's do make their own gowns there. They tend to be mostly pretty hot-looking actually, but will run you between $200-$300+.

KalliGirl NinaDaisy you guys know what I'm talking about. The gowns I saw at PEC were unlike anything I saw online. I know alot of housemoms and costume ladies roam around and usually have number you can call them at to get gowns custom made. Anyway I'll tell her to call PEC and ask to speak with the housemom.

I know that when I worked at Priviledge about 3 years ago I got 3 fly ass gowns from this roaming costume lady. I have since sold them and lost her number but the fabrics and ornamentation on my gowns were sic!!

Those gowns are nice, but I have many similar gowns that I got for a lot cheaper in Philly. Unfortunately since they were custom made I don't know the name of the lady. I know PHilly and NYC are far apart, but if you are ever in Philadelphia on a Wed-Friday night the house mom at Club Risque sells beautiful gowns that look like those priced anywhere from 85-110. They are the same gowns sold at Delilah's. You can go into Club Risque chat up one of the girls and ask to see the dresses, the house mom is a hustler she'll sell to other dancers.

Wow, her gowns are fantastic! Thx for posting that link.

Also, try a search for Nom De Plume gowns. I had a white gown from them once and it was gorgeous! I think I paid $120 for it.

WOW! Amelia is seriously sexy!!!! I don't even wear gowns anymore, but that makes me wanna reconsider, and pull a couple of shifts per week at the gown club.

We go through a bunch of bullshit ladies, but all in all, I love being a girl!!! Hell, the clothes are FABULOUS!!!

If she needs something quickly, I've had some good luck finding nice gowns at Tic Tac Toe in the village.

Shopping for dresses is my favorite part of working in a gown club! And I get to feel like a "classy broad" at work.

I was gonna post that link. Nothing off the rack is gonna come close to those custom-made gowns, but Nom de Plume stuff would do in a pinch and Chelsea's ships fast. Here's a tip when ordering online: EVERYONE ships sooner if you pay for a faster shipping service. Pick 3 Day Select or 2nd Day Air and your order gets priority in the warehouse AND ship time is reduced

That said, I LOVE those gowns from polka dot lady!!! I am soooo gonna get one. Or 5
