....haha, well, not really, but I did twist my ankle kind of badly while getting a hand down from stage from another dancer. It wasn't her fault at all, but she fetl terrible and she's new so that made it worse for her. I really felt worse for her than for myself because she felt so guilty. It totally broke my shoe strap because my ankle bent completely to the side to the point that the side of my foot touched the stair (and I was in 9 inchers). My manager was so concerned that he let me leave two hours early on a Saturday shift (which never happens).
Now it hurts like a mofo and I've taken two of my husband's painkillers and am still waiting for them to kick in. It's all swollen and the more I keep off of it the more it hurts. I'm icing it as directed, but it's still hurting like a bitch. While I was at work I kind of walked it off for a minute, but it soon became obvious that I needed to get off of it and get home with some ice.
So, it's kind of a dancer dilemma that no one wants to be in....injury with no idea how serious it really is or if I'm going to have to take days off because of it. I'm hoping to be ok by Monday, but hubby is skeptical after looking at it and seeing how much pain I'm in.
Anyhoo, just thought I'd share my night with y'all. I missed the Saturday power hours because of this and only took home $350. I know I could have doubled that if I could have stayed through my shift. Oh well, there's always next week....

It hurts enough that I'm afraid to put on heels, so I figured I better take it easy.
