    Default some questions about BA/BL

I have been researching doctors for my BA/BL for a while now and have finally come up with a list. Can I still go to a consultation now, even though Im not planning to have the surgery for another year or two?I still need time to save money, but I want a consultation to know exactly how much I have to save up and what exactly I will be getting done.

Oh, and I keep reading that you have to be 22 and older to get silicon implants. Is this true?

Some doctors that I have on my list have more than one location. Is there a price difference between their office on park ave compared to their office in brooklyn for ex.?

BA/BL prices vary widely. Expect to pay $2000 more than just BA alone....so about $6000-10,000. Add another $1000-2000 for silicone.

Why do you want to go on consulations now? Just to find out price? You can start saving now. You might get it faster than you thought. I saved my 8800 for BA and BL in about a month because I was really motivated.

I want to go now just so I can finally relax.I've been debating about what I should do to "fix" my problem for so long and I wont be at peace until I have a consultation and they tell me exactly what procedure I need.Plus I dont want to save and then find out I dont have enough. But thanks for giving me the estimated pricing. Im just going to keep saving and when I think I have enough I'll make an app. for a consultation. So Is the age limit on silicon implants true, because Im only 18 now and will be underr 22 by the time I have my surgery?

I've heard that too about the age, but I got saline.

Why do you want a lift?

I want it because I think I need it.I have a really complicated breast situation situation lol.My left breast is about a saggy c cup and my right side is a small B.They're really uneven.I want the ba to even them out in size and the breast lift to fix the saggy side.Im not sure if the right side needs a BL,so I have to wait to see a doctor.Im also hoping a benelli BL is enough to perk them up.

You haven't had your consultation yet, but it is possible that your doctor can fix the asymmetry of your breasts with different size implants. It's not uncommon. Try to avoid getting a lift unless you really, really need one since the scarring usually kind of bad.

    On the other hand ^

it's better to go for the gold (near perfect boobies!) the first time, and scaring fades well/ can be covered up, so if you think you need an lift as well, you're likely right.

many girls that go with just the ba when a good doctor advised a lift as well are disappointed and later get the lift done.

I agree with Lola Rose.I dont mind the scarring because I know it will fade over time.Plus Im hoping to get a benelli lift with the implants, because a scar only around the nipple is not that bad.

Emily how are your scars by now?

I agree totally that the lift / scarring should be avoided at all costs. One way is to go with rather large implants that will 'stretch' the saggy skin back to being tight and perky again. Also, asymmetry is easy to fix with two different implant fills.

none of us are doctors and we don't have pics of your boobs anyway....so we are not in a position to tell you not to get a lift.

But I know there are lots of girls that refuse to get a lift when they need one and they either get massive implants (overs) that need a lift a few years down the road because the weight of the implant stretches the skin even more or the nipple is too low and nipple is often really big (unders).

Getting it done all at once (if you do indeed need a lift, which is more of a nipple issue than a volume issue...meaning the nipple is lower than your natural crease) is probably best.

But I'd avoid a lift if I didn't need one. That surgery has so many complications.

    But I needed one.

If you a have a strong stomach....here are some pics of me and my boobs during their healing process.

I don't have any recent pics, so I jsut took this one:

my left breast scar has been healing for 12 months and the right for 6 months. You can't even tell in club lighting.

    Whoa Emily.

How did you work between getting the infection and getting the revision?

This should be a lesson to EVERYONE. Complications do happen, and you need to be prepared for that possibility! Financially AND mentally. No matter how good your doctor (Emily's doctor is very highly recomended and well respected).

I wore pasties. I covered up the nasty shit with a bandage and then covered the whole nipple with a large pastie.

I got a lot of weird comments from guys, but I liked having them on because nobody tried to tweak or lick my nipples. If anyone asked, I said I was recovering from a BA.

I"m realzing in those pics that some of them are mirror images and some are not. it's confusing because I used a few different cameras and it looks like it changes boobs....but I think you can follow which is which (I have a dark mole on my right breast, the one that had the issue.)

^Em, are yours overs? The final result is fabulous and they have a very natural shape.

When anyone gets a lift where the nipple is moved, what are the odds that they won't be able to breastfeed later?

mine are complete unders (trans-ax incision)

I'm not sure about the breast feeding, but the lift is just removing skin so it's not getting into the tissue (and thus milk ducts) like a BA would. I still have full sensation in both nipples after all that too.

Awesome pictures, Emily. Your doctor did a great job. Did he use anatomical implants as opposed to high profile? My doc did and the effect is very natural and similar to yours.

^^^no, they are saline rounds 375cc with one overfilled to 425

thanks though. I'm happy with the results now.

and he didn't put the implant through the nipple because trans-ax is his prefered method of placement.

He explains it on his website:

    http://www.advanced-art.com/Breast-Aug-Mastopexy.htm

I always prefer placement of implants beneath the pectoral chest muscles, to prevent mammogram interference, and to prevent surface wrinkling of the breasts that is often seen with implants above the muscle (directly behind the breast gland tissues). By approaching breast implant placement via the Trans-Axillary technique (via the armpit), I am also able to prevent potential contamination of the breast implants with germs that are known to reside in the breast tissue ducts, and are probably responsible for the frequent finding of firm scar formation around implants that are placed above the muscle. Also, the axillary route to the submuscular plane will preserve the intact muscular fascial envelope from the chest muscles to the abdominal muscles, maintaining "internal bra - like" support.
