How long are your shifts? I'm taking a break from dancing right now, but when I danced I worked anywhere from 8 to 12 hour shifts, so it was tough to work too many days in a row. If I could work 6 hours or less, I would definitely work 5 or 6 days a week.

Also, there's a point of diminishing returns. A lot of girls say they don't make any more money working 4-5 days a week than they do working 3 days, because by day 4 they're really tired out and they don't try as hard.

Yeah, I would say 4-5 days a week is definitely doable then, unless you have a really hectic schedule like school or another job. Maybe try different things like working one day on, one day off, or three days on, two days off, to see what works out best for you.

Start out with 2 days then work up to 3 days if you'd like instead. I used to never like to work more than 2-3 days a week. Now its 3-4 (only 4 if I know I want something coming up, like my trip to Thailand) days a week.

Also, do you like your club? If not feel free to try others in the area. If you like the club you're at and do well in it then theres another reason to want to go in more - make more money too. Sorta like how bad do you want it? That new house, new purse, hefty savings, vacations etc. So when you do need a vacation or just need a break you can do that easily and not stress that time off.

I work to feel comfy, have a savings for future things I may want and just to be prepared that if I want 2 weeks off in the middle of a month I can do it no problem.

^ agreed. burn out is not something you want to have happen, and if you've had it in the past, 5 days a week is a lot to start with. that will cause serious burnout immediately, imo.

    Love it!

im in your boat, i hardly work anymore, and i want to build it up to 4 nights, my school schedule was ridiculous last semester, and it has lightened but i can;t seem to get back into a rountine, so work shorter shifts, i used to go for the long shifts since i am there 2 days a week?

I am rostered on for two nights. I like this as it gives me the freedom (no pressure) to come in on a night off. I don't HAVE to work those extra nights. I want to work them hence I know I will have a better time at work overall.

Regardless, if the shifts at my club were 5 hours and there was no touching of the dancer in the lap dances then I would easily do 4 nights per week no problem. As it is, because there is touching involved and the shifts I do are usually 7-8 (or longer if I get a long booking later near my 'go home' time of 3am) I am right royally fucked and usually need 24 hours minimum to re-group (unless I've had a really fantastic night beforehand then I try to keep the momentum).

I work two nights per week - one 10 hour shift, one twelve hour shift. So 22 hours a week in total. That's enough for me.
Although Im doing 3 nights in a row over Grand Prix weekend which should be tough.

I don't like doing two night in a row.

I could have wrote this For Feb. I worked 1 day. Superbowl. Then for soem reason, I didnt work the rest of the month. Things just kept comming up, or I just didnt want to go. I have never been a hard worker, but I try to work at least 3 days a week. I never work very long shifts. I need to get back on the ball to and start working more.

Same here. I only went in 8 times for January and 5 times for February. Im also a full-time student so its harder to get in often. I find I push myself very hard those times I do go in because I can't really afford to have any bad nights. I think working 3 or 4 times a week would be good for you if you don't have any other job or obligations. The most times I ever worked in a week was 5 and that was exhausting.

I think most girls here DON'T work 5 nights a week.

I work 5-6/week and girls on here (and especially in my club) think I'm nuts. They are probably right.

Give yourself a few weeks to work up to 3-4 (or more) days a week. Just jumping in to that schedule can be overwhelming. I find if I work fewer than 3 days a week, I really lose momentum and start making excuses not to go to work. It helps me to have a set schedule of what days I do and don't work, that way I don't have to decide each day whether I feel like going...cause honestly, I never feel like going.

If you've been working 9 days a month, then up yourself to 3 days a week. I don't see any reason anyone couldn't work 3 days a week. You can work them all in a row and have 4 days in a row off, or stagger them. My current scheduled days are Wed, Thu, Sat and I sometimes go in on Tue also. So at most I work 3 days in a row and have at least 2 days in a row off every week. That works for me.

If you pick the 3 best days to work and get in the habit of working those 3 days every week, I bet you'll see a good increase in your average weekly earnings. 3 days per week works out to 12 or 13 days per month - that's a good increase without going overboard.

Also, if you have been living on 9 shifts per month and start working 12 or 13, you could EASILY save the money you make on the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th shifts each month. That would get you a good nestegg started

I used to be like this, from like June til February actually.

I worked at a club where I could basically do whatever I wanted because I wasn't a hooker and getting in trouble. So I didn't come in that often.

Now I work at a club I really like because it's really clean and close to home. Also they are kind of strict on scheduling. It helps that they are only open 4 days a week, so you have 4 nights to make your money. Now I have only been working 6 hour shifts. Now that I got some crap out of the way I'm going to start working the 8 hour shifts.

Is your club a hassle to get to? Maybe you need a change of scenery or stricter rules. For me, I am so lazy I need a structured enviornment.

I think you're nuts...but rich nuts. Only if I could blast through that heavy of a work schedule like you. If it weren't only for my second job: school.

    ^^^yeah, I used to have a Mon-Fri, 9-to-5 job. Then I'd only work 4 nights per week.

I only work 2-3 days(weekends) a week in my club, and work from 10pm-2am. I know it doesn't sound like much, but there is no point in coming in early as there is practically no on there. Its absolutely dead until 10. I think I fare out pretty well, I do one stage show, then for the rest of the night I am constantly giving LD's. I can easily walk out with a good chunk of change!

I was the same way for a while...I agree with those who say you should gradually increase. You have to ask yourself why you weren't working much to begin with. Inertia? Exhaustion? Or do you really not enjoy the job all that much? Finding out the why can solve the problem.

I used to work with a girl my age (21) who worked Mon-Fri 8-4 at an office, and then Tues-Sat nights at the club. She literally, in all seriousness, would work about 80 hours a week. She was a wiry little reed, and always so confoundingly cheerful (sober too). That chick put me to shame. But then around 1am on Fridays she would say "oh, I'm so tired" (this after working since 8am...like, no shit you're tired), but with a shrug and smile. I don't know how she does it. I guess she wants to buy a small country or something.

The point of that story- everyone has personal goals and standards. It's the quality of your life that counts. Make reasonable plans for yourself, regardless of what others do.
