    Default Some questions

I'm a longtime forum-lurker interesting in stripping. I have a lot of questions and it would be great to get some answers:

    1) Has anyone you know come into the club, or have you ever gotten recognized on the street or in day-to-day life?

    2) If you have a professional job too, how does striping affect it?

    3) Do the custies in the club remember what your face looks like? Like, could they identify you a few years later, or do they just not pay attention to who you are?

    4) What do you call stripping when you file taxes?

    5) What is the age of the oldest stripper you've worked with? Some people say that it has a short shelf life of about 15 years, but I'm sure that some people age really well, plus I've heard that some guys don't mind older strippers because it makes them more comfortable with someone their own age....

    6) Do most clubs allow smoking?

    7) Can someone access your taxes to see if you were a stripper in the past?

8 ) Do some of you cheat on your taxes and lie about how much money you bring in? Like, still paying the fees to the club but then saying you've earned less on the taxes? It seems like it would be easy to do, considering there's no paper trail...

    9) Have any of you ever been stalked or assaulted or followed by one of the guys?

    10) How long do you usually work, and how long are the shifts? If you worked for about four to six times per week, how much money could you make in a month?

    11) If you're dating someone new and things are getting serious, when do you tell them you're a stripper? You don't want to tell them too soon or too late... Have any of you ever lied about it and said you went to a different job each night?

    12) Does anyone ever try to videotape you or take pictures? I'm sure that it's usually not allowed, but now with cameraphones and everything...

Sorry for all the questions. If you can only answer a few, that would be great!

Ok Ill bite. I think the reason that no one has replied to any of your questions is because you can find all the answers to your questions by searching the existing posts.

I am not trying to be mean or harsh in any way but by asking all of these questions at once it looks like u can't be bothered doing a bit of research.

I suspect that another reason no one has relpied is coz u have asked the forbidden question about how much money can u earn as a stripper - well how long is a piece of string? There are so many factors that come into play in regard to earnings that it is not possible to answer that.

You have also asked people whether they have committed the crime of tax evasion - I don't think anyone is going to answer that one.

Having said all that I will try to answer a couple of your questions:

    (1) yes people i know have come into the club. i dance in the city that i live in so its gonna happen. i have also been recognised outside of the club - at my gym by a regular.

    (2) i do not have a professional job. i am a student.

    (3) im sure some regulars would recognise my face. i have only been dancing for 5 months so im not sure about whether i will be recognised down the track.

    (4) I live in Australia. To legally dance and pay tax requires the filing of an ABN - Australian Business Number. You can put down entertainer. I don't know where u live so I can't really help u on that one.

    (5) the oldest dancer at my club is almost 50 and she is stunning and earns amongst the most of any dancer in my club.

    (6) not sure about most clubs. in melbourne australia as on july this year there will be no smoking YEAH CAN'T WAIT.

    (7) No idea.

OK. Im bored, so I'll help ay out and answer.

) Has anyone you know come into the club, or have you ever gotten recognized on the street or in day-to-day life?
people have come in that I know, and I treat them like a customer and try to sell them a dance. Ive never been recognized on the street

    2) If you have a professional job too, how does striping affect it?
Maybe make you tired during yoru day job, maybe make you realize how hard you work at your regular job for such little money, make you wish you started dancing a long time ago.

    3) Do the custies in the club remember what your face looks like? Like, could they identify you a few years later, or do they just not pay attention to who you are?
They wont remember you years later. If someone did..I'd be worried.

    4) What do you call stripping when you file taxes?
    Entertainer

    5) What is the age of the oldest stripper you've worked with? Some people say that it has a short shelf life of about 15 years, but I'm sure that some people age really well, plus I've heard that some guys don't mind older strippers because it makes them more comfortable with someone their own age....
Some girls I work with are pushing 60. Its Vegas.

    6) Do most clubs allow smoking?
    Yes, depending on the state.

    7) Can someone access your taxes to see if you were a stripper in the past?
    The IRS.

8 ) Do some of you cheat on your taxes and lie about how much money you bring in? Like, still paying the fees to the club but then saying you've earned less on the taxes? It seems like it would be easy to do, considering there's no paper trail...
Well, Im sure you can lie and cheat, but you really dont want to. If you want to ever buy a house, you need to show income. If you lie and say you only make 10grand a year, you'll never qualify for a mortgage. And its just not cool to fuck with the IRS.
    9) Have any of you ever been stalked or assaulted or followed by one of the guys?
    NO
    10) How long do you usually work, and how long are the shifts? If you worked for about four to six times per week, how much money could you make in a month?
How long do I usually work? 4-6 hours. How long are my shifts? 4 - 6 hours, depending on the club. vegas has to schedules, btu some lcubs in other states do. How much can you make in a month? anywhere from $100 - $50,000. Depends on where you are working, what kind of clientelle you have, how hard you work, how long you work, how many days a week.....ect.

They might try, btu they'll get throw out. Its forbidden to take pics int he club.

    Default Re: Some questions

    1) Has anyone you know come into the club, or have you ever gotten recognized on the street or in day-to-day life? Yeah, once a guy I knew from my old job came in. He stared at me for a while. I didn't talk to him. It was embarassing.

    2) If you have a professional job too, how does striping affect it? N/A

    3) Do the custies in the club remember what your face looks like? Like, could they identify you a few years later, or do they just not pay attention to who you are? Yeah, I've run into custies on the street before, they knew who I was and said hi.

    4) What do you call stripping when you file taxes? Exotic dancing, I think I called it, or entertainer perhaps. I can't quite recall.

    5) What is the age of the oldest stripper you've worked with? Some people say that it has a short shelf life of about 15 years, but I'm sure that some people age really well, plus I've heard that some guys don't mind older strippers because it makes them more comfortable with someone their own age....I've worked with women over 40 before.

    6) Do most clubs allow smoking? Where I live they do, but it'll be banned from July when new anti-smoking legislation takes effect.

    7) Can someone access your taxes to see if you were a stripper in the past? There's something in law called 'discovery'. If someone's filing a suit against you and have reason to subpoena your tax returns, they will be able to see that you've stripped.

8 ) Do some of you cheat on your taxes and lie about how much money you bring in? Like, still paying the fees to the club but then saying you've earned less on the taxes? It seems like it would be easy to do, considering there's no paper trail...In Australia, there's a requirement that you get what's called an Australian Business Number or ABN. At most places you can't work without one, and if you're using an ABN to work you must file taxes- the ATO (Australian Tax Office) knows who you are and where you work, and they can check up on you and make an estimated assessment of what they think you've been earning and then tax you on that if they suspect you've under-declared your earnings. So, it's certainly not an advisable exercise, at least not in Australia.

    9) Have any of you ever been stalked or assaulted or followed by one of the guys? I've been telephone-stalked by obsessed customers before, otherwise no. They also stopped when I told them to fuck off.

    10) How long do you usually work, and how long are the shifts? If you worked for about four to six times per week, how much money could you make in a month? I don't work anymore and all clubs have different shift lengths. It can be anything from 6-14 hours. Your earnings will depend on how smooth you are at hustling, basically, as well as how good you look.

    11) If you're dating someone new and things are getting serious, when do you tell them you're a stripper? You don't want to tell them too soon or too late... Have any of you ever lied about it and said you went to a different job each night? The only people I've ever lied about it to were my parents. I'd tell anyone as soon as they asked me what I did for a living.

    12) Does anyone ever try to videotape you or take pictures? I'm sure that it's usually not allowed, but now with cameraphones and everything...It's illegal and it's never happened to me.

    living.
there would have to be some relevance to the matter for them to subpoena your tax returns. also as you generally put down entertainer it's not gonna say "stripper".

Once in a blue moon do I see a dancer in the street. I've probably been recognised more by them than me recognise them first - see comment on make-up below.

Most dancers use different make up at work and in real life - therefore they can look very different.

One dancer in London is a a bit over 60. I know several dancers in their mid-40's who still look damned good. If you look after yourself you can work for a long time.

Of the dancers I know many don't pay taxes; those that do don't declare anything like their full earnings.

I know a few dancers that have been stalked, usually when they've been too free with personal details.

It's becoming a problem - most dancers I know have probably been caught on a cameraphone at some time or other. Real question is what the guy is going to do with it - you don't want your picture over the Internet.

No, not by anyone that really matterd.
    2) If you have a professional job too, how does striping affect it?
    No i dont
    3) Do the custies in the club remember what your face looks like? Like, could they identify you a few years later, or do they just not pay attention to who you are?
Depends if youve been at the club for a long time, and they come in often.
    4) What do you call stripping when you file taxes?
    what taxes? im a student
    5) What is the age of the oldest stripper you've worked with? Some people say that it has a short shelf life of about 15 years, but I'm sure that some people age really well, plus I've heard that some guys don't mind older strippers because it makes them more comfortable with someone their own age....
    38 i think.
    6) Do most clubs allow smoking?
    not in my city
    7) Can someone access your taxes to see if you were a stripper in the past?
    I dont know
8 ) Do some of you cheat on your taxes and lie about how much money you bring in? Like, still paying the fees to the club but then saying you've earned less on the taxes? It seems like it would be easy to do, considering there's no paper trail...
    hah... what taxes?
    9) Have any of you ever been stalked or assaulted or followed by one of the guys?
    no
    10) How long do you usually work, and how long are the shifts? If you worked for about four to six times per week, how much money could you make in a month?
6 or 8 hour shifts depending on what day it is. I work 3 times a week. Im in school and if im not at home, i wont do my homework. I procrastinate too much. How much you COULD make depends on you.
    11) If you're dating someone new and things are getting serious, when do you tell them you're a stripper? You don't want to tell them too soon or too late... Have any of you ever lied about it and said you went to a different job each night?
I havnt had to deal with the dating scene since i started. I usually just tell people when i meet them. I its no big deal to me, they usually act the same way. No big deal. I do lie to my parents about where i go on weekend nights. Its been 3 months....
    12) Does anyone ever try to videotape you or take pictures? I'm sure that it's usually not allowed, but now with cameraphones and everything...
There is a strict no cell phone policy in our club for that very reason. If your in gyno row, and your cellphone is open it will be taken away by the dancer. Dancers do it all the time, anywhere in the club. There are some sick people. Usually the dancer will delete ALL the photos in the phone. Then bitch the guy out herself. Then pass the phone onto the bouncer, and let him deal with it. He can decide if hes going to kick the guy out or not give back the phone. Whatever he decides.

    1) Has anyone you know come into the club, or have you ever gotten recognized on the street or in day-to-day life?
Yes to all parts of that question.

    2) If you have a professional job too, how does striping affect it?
the two don't effect each other. I'm in construction, BTW.

    3) Do the custies in the club remember what your face looks like? Like, could they identify you a few years later, or do they just not pay attention to who you are?
Not usually. Only if he/she is a regular.

    4) What do you call stripping when you file taxes?
    Entertainer.

    5) What is the age of the oldest stripper you've worked with? Some people say that it has a short shelf life of about 15 years, but I'm sure that some people age really well, plus I've heard that some guys don't mind older strippers because it makes them more comfortable with someone their own age....
    over 50.

    6) Do most clubs allow smoking?
Yes. Or if there are laws preventing indoor smoking, then there is usually a smoking area the dancers can use.

    7) Can someone access your taxes to see if you were a stripper in the past?
Only if you show them (like going for a bank loan). that is why I put entertainer as my profession as it is a very general reference.

8 ) Do some of you cheat on your taxes and lie about how much money you bring in? Like, still paying the fees to the club but then saying you've earned less on the taxes? It seems like it would be easy to do, considering there's no paper trail...
Never. Why would someone do that? Or, an even better question is why would someone admit to breaking the law on a pubic internet forum.

    9) Have any of you ever been stalked or assaulted or followed by one of the guys?
No. Followed a few times, but it came to nothing.

    10) How long do you usually work, and how long are the shifts? If you worked for about four to six times per week, how much money could you make in a month?
3-4 shifts per week at 5-8 hours per shift. There is no rhyme or reason to the profit/ loss ratio. One day can be fantastic and the next day a dancer can go home with less money than she came to work with.

    11) If you're dating someone new and things are getting serious, when do you tell them you're a stripper? You don't want to tell them too soon or too late... Have any of you ever lied about it and said you went to a different job each night?
Been with the same guy since I began dancing, so this doesn't apply.

    12) Does anyone ever try to videotape you or take pictures? I'm sure that it's usually not allowed, but now with cameraphones and everything...
All the freakin' time! It can't be helped any longer.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

Y'all are more patient than I am. Lolitachick, everything, and I mean everything you asked has been discussed ad nauseum on the site. Also, it's nicer not to ask people a litany of questions. One at a time will get you a better response. From your questions I gather that

    1. You are very concerned about getting found out.
    2. You want to not pay taxes.
    3. You are older than the average beginning stripper.
    4. You would lie to a boy/girlfriend about your job.
    4. You have not read through the forums very much.

Your short attention span and deceitful leanings indicate you'd be highly successful, so go for it and good luck!

And do some searches. I am going to answer some of your questions by showing you what shows up when you do a simple search on the site.
