    Sad Trouble Sleeping

For the past few months I find that working late nights until 2-3am in the morning has taken its toll making it hard to fall asleep some nights until the next day, especially if its been one of those nights where you eithier drank a little more than usual, or had to hustle more than usual to make the quota that night.
I am curious if anyone knows of any natural ways to fall asleep, I don't believe in sleeping pills or artificial stuff, but if anyone is aware of any natural remedy for sleeplessness??

Melatonin and/or valerian will knock you out.

Also, a turkey sandwich & glass of milk will help you sleep.

I sometimes use Somas (a muscle relaxer) but they're not for everyone.

I have trouble sleeping a lot too - my brain just won't shut up!!

I read this thing (I think it was in Cosmo) awhile back about getting to sleep. It's a mind trick & it's worked for me a bunch of times: As you're laying in bed with your eyes closed picture cement (or something else heavy) being poured on your feet. When your feet start to feel heavy move up to your calves & put cement on them. Don't move up to the next body part until you actually feel the "heaviness" on the previous one.

Also, wear an eye mask. The littlest amount of light (like from your alarm clock) could keep you from sleeping.

I like to sleep with a fan on, not for the breeze, but to drown out any little noises from my neighbors or cars passing by.

Do NOT check your email right before bed. You'll stay awake thinking. Watch a stupid/funny movie or tv show instead, preferably something you've seen before so it doesn't require much thought.

    Good luck hun!
