    Default moisturizers w/o mineral oil

I need a good nighttime one for face (no retinol or anything that'll make me sun sensitive, I want a tan) and an everyday one for body (or both face and body), that actually moisturizes.

I stopped getting hives after I started using suaves sensitive skin formula w/o mineral oil (also changed detergents to all), but it's not moisturizing enough. I want something affordable and good. Anyone know?

I use Olay body Quench.. It has glycerin in it but says nothing about mineral oil. I used it when I got mystic tans so it wouldn't take off the tan.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

    Body :

I second Gypsy on the Quench. I've spent ca$h on creams, lotions, butters, soaps and (messy) oils, so figured the worse that could happen by giving in to the media-hype is that I'm out $6...

I will never use a different body moisturizer again - It's really that good .

Face - Night > I use cold-pressed shea butter and vitamin E oils diluted in coconut, jojoba and soybean carrier oils. You will not believe how soft your skin is; my Love always compliments mine .

-There may be a misconception that all oils cause breakouts. The fact is that ^these^ oils allow your pores to flush blemish forming bacteria and toxins out of your skin. What causes a breakout is an infected clogged pore, but if your pores are allowed to secrete the oil within them, you will not breakout .

Face - Day > Still on the hunt for "the one" but for now I use ProActive Moisturizer with SPF (can't forget the SPF) and it's "aiight".

Prior to now I was using Loreal Pure Zone. I wan't really crazy about it (it was like, weird and waxy and sh*t).

Let me know if these work out for you. And if you find a good daytime moisturizer, holla at me so that I might check it out, if you don't mind .

I use Oil of Olay Quench lotion too! It's so great! And I like the way it smells. But about the oils that don't clog your pores...which ones? Jojoba, soybean, and coconut won't make you break out?

For day I've been using Neutrogena Visibly Even moisturizer and I like it.

Yes. You can also add emu oil to that.

They help with the process of shedding dead skin cells so that healthier cells can surface by the pores allowing sebaceous oil to flow out of the pores, thus decreasing breakouts.

Since our underlying skin cells suface between 28 to 45 days, total results may be visible in take up to 6 weeks, as with any product. However, you will see an immediate imporvement when using these in how your skin absorbs and retains moisture.

You can also add a few drops of tea tree oil to any other oil you use as a natural antibacterial antiseptic.

Do an inner arm check first before applying oils to your face, as some people may be allergic (I am not and I have sensitive skin, but everyone is different).

Also remember to apply only at night and to remove first thing in the morning.

    Thanks for sharing .

This causes you no breakouts? Is it oily / greasy / waxy? If not, I will def have to try.

Excellent thread Fawn; Can't wait to read more responses .

Neutrogena Visibly Even moisturizer hasn't caused me to breakout. And I've really noticed an evening of my skin too, since I use it with the Visibly Even cleanser. The lotion is extremely light. Almost liquid so it sinks in fast. And it's oil-free.

Thanks for the oil info Hot!
