I don't chase money. Money chases me.

i think smoking affects everything in your body to a certain extent. you're not going to be getting the oxygen to your muscles like you should.
however, i have seen many pole dancers that smoke..

Be a figuratively smoking pole dancer, not a literally smoking one![]()
You just made me think of that scene in "Old School" where Vince Vaughn is doing acrobatics...with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth...
Yes, smoking leaches oxygen out of your bloodstream...You can take Vitamin C to combat the effects, but it's best to just cut back or quit.

Smoking is obviously bad for you. You shouldn't need pole-dancing as an excuse to quit.
That said, to be an excercising smoker is better than being a non-excercising smoker. It may affect your progress, but it won't incapacitate you. (I run 4 miles in 35mins, and I'm a smoker...). But you should still quit if you can, according to every medical authority available, as well as common sense. Like I said, I smoke, but tu quoque, etc.
I smoke also, yeah we should all quit, but working out will really help whether you smoke or not.
Smoking is very bad for you. Your chances of developing lung cancer are much higher if you smoke. It also diminishes your lung capacity which means you cannot run far or do anything that requires good stamina.
Having said that, I have seen some very accomplished pole dancers who are smokers and have good stamina to boot. I guess human body is a very puzzling thing.
Smoking will in no way effect your ability to build upper body strength.
Sure you will be more out of breath than the average non smoker but that's it.
Also understand that with an amazing diet, and weight training program a female will only be able to gain a pound of muscle a month due to low testosterone levels. While a male has a 5 pound gain per month. Also try to avoid doing cardio as it breaks down muscle. Weight Training makes you lose fat in a more effective way to begin with anyways. Good luck with your gains!

I know that when I've been smoking, I can feel myself getting puffed out much faster, and need longer to catch my breath

I think now with this corona virus, you'd want to quit smoking anything.

Smoking and working out are diametrically opposed. No judgement. I use to smoke. You can still workout, it won’t hurt anything. As an athlete you’ll never reach your potential as a smoker.
