im getting really sick of undergrad and i dislike the college i just transfered to so much that ive been looking into transfer options. while online i found this coorespondence type school that if i started now with my transfer credits i could graduate in a year with my B.S in Psychology. This school is nationally accedited by the Distance Education and Training Counsil and has been approved by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education for the State of California. i originally planned on pursuing a psy.d. degree but my first choice for grad schools only accepts applicants with a bachelors from a regionally accredited university. my second choice does accept students with a b.s. from specific nationally accredited universities they have already approved and im waiting for a responce to see if this school is acceptable.
if i dont get into psy.d. program i could get an m.s. in psychology from this same school, but i dont know what my job prospects would be like. ive never actually had a real job that required a resume or a degree. im not sure if this would hinder me being hired or if they even look into the specifics of an applicants degree. many of my friends would have graduated with bachelors and masters degrees end up in completely unrelated fields, so while i may never be counseler shouldnt i at least be able to get a job in some facet of business?
