Sad Advice For New Strippers For Auditions, Performing, Etc.

Okay, so I am going to an audition tomorrow and I am new at this. My hair is essentially shoulder length, and I am a 14W or 16. I want to strip, but I don't have much money right now. I have the clothes that I need to audition. What advice does anyone have on here for new strippers? Do you have to be a certain size to strip?

I personally think that you can be any size to dance as long as you are proportional. I've seen thicker girls dancing that look great, and I've seen skinny girls who don't look as hot. Preference is everything. IMO the real question is: How does your stomach look? I really think your mid-section is everything. You can be slim or thick but if you got a belly on you, it just looks bad all the way around.

The only advice I can really give is to go in with a smile and try your best. Have you gone to the club that you are going to auditin in to check and see how their other dancers look? That may be of some help to you. Some clubs have a certain "type" of girls whether they want to admit it or not.

Yeah, I checked...it is just hard where I am at. Thanks for the advice.

Actually, I used to do private parties in Richmond, Virginia. I have never danced in a public place before. I started dancing when I was 18 because I needed the money. I was really scared, but then I notice that I like the attention I get when people in the parties looked at me they way they do. Also, I didn't get to audition in the club yesterday because they say they already have too many girls, and since I am black and in Oregon it is hard to get a job like that. Believe me...a lot of the employers who do escourt service, dancing, etc. say that there is not a high demand for black girls in my city, but because of circumstances I am stuck for right now. My mom was a professional dancer as well. She even performed in Germany...her name was Champaigne, so I kind of know the ropes, just not in actual public clubs.

    I voted less then a size 10.

I think you'll have a much harder time with it b/c you are bigger. Yes, you're pretty, but it's hard for bigger girls to make as much in this industry. Make sure your expectations are reasonable, and you'll have to sell more with personality.

    Hi hunny,
it's kind of hard to say from the pics on your myspace. I know that i look better when i'm in my underwear than fully clothed (clothes seem to add bulk to me!), so if you feel confident enough take a few pics in the outfits you would wear to audition and post them here if you really want a specific judgement.
Otherwise i would say it is very hard to define a size as people carry their weight differently. I couldn't imagine a size 14+ working as a dancer, but maybe thats cos my mum is that size and i certainly wouldn't want to see her on stage! (maybe thats more to do with her being my mum than her size tho )
