Say it with me now: there is not such thing as spot reduction. It does not exist. To reduce belly fat, you need to reduce body fat. And that means cardio. Lots of it. And weight training.
From what I've seen from other posts on here, walking is a great easy exercise.
do you drink? Just something that seems to happen to men and women is that alcohol turns into belly fat. Also, are you sure it's not gas or something? I get a "gas baby" sometimes if I eat the trigger foods.
Try the Abs Diet. It gives you tips on what to eat, when to eat it, weight training and cardio.
Like Rozz was saying... if you do sit ups and all, you'll TONE the muscle underneath the fat, but you won't get rid of that fat unless you do cardio. Emily's right about the booze, too.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
Yes, there is no way to spot reduce. Like Bella said, if you tone the muscle under the fat, the fat will still be there. Sometimes this came be worse though because it will make your belly look bulky.
So cardio is the key... but working out is only half the battle. The main thing is what you put into your body. Lots of water helps too.

It sucks, but some people are built to gain their weight in their tummy area. Some people are pear shaped, some are apple, etc. I'm pretty slim at 5'6" and 130 pounds, and I'm toned. However, I still have lots of tummy wiggle. It helps me to do lots of cardio. Pilates actually works pretty well too for pulling those muscles in, even though you can't spot reduce.
I'm pretty careful about finding outfits that flatter my body for stripping, e.g. outfits that cover my tummy but emphasize my long legs and big boobies.
Good luck!

I'm the same as Lily above- it's genetic to put on weight in the belly for some people. I do my best, but I've just decided to wear things that de-emphasize the stomach and accentuate the chestiness/ slender legs (they say women with the body shape that gains stomach weight tend to be busty, and have slender hips/ legs, so just flaunt what works for you). I also agree that any kind of gas-belly only makes it worse. Learn to watch out for foods that are tricky for you to digest (they will make you bloat).

I hate it... I used to read Dr. Phil thinking this was reality... boo

im glad im not alone not that i want other people to have the same problem. i want to do cardio but i am already super skinny everywhere else except the tummy area. i only gain weight in one place, but i loose it everywhere else? what about you guys? any solutions?
If you are already super skinny...then the bulge you are talking about is most likely your organs. Short of doing a surgical removal of said organs, you won't get that "completely flat" stomach. Of course, if you do sit ups/etc you will tighten the muscles which in turn can pull the stomach (organs) back and make your tummy appear flatter...
Other than that...just accept your body's genetic make-up.
My tummy is always a lot flatter when I get up in the morning and it seems to grow as the day goes by.

^^^
same here.
Also a diet high in sugar seems to go to the stomach.
I carry my fat on my tummy but I prefer it that way than ass or thighs. It's still toned but I don't have a six-pack either.

So how do you lose the belly fat without losing weight? I don't want to lose any weight or body fat. I like the size that I am.
^ You don't. Of course, if you weight train with cardio, you'll lose fat and gain muscle. But, if you have belly fat, there is no way to get rid of it without losing weight/body fat.

Sorry, this isn't true. I don't want to condone or advocate surgery; however, liposuction is geared towards people with stubborn fat areas that don't respond to diet and exercise.
I've had it (lipo) done on multiple areas of my body without losing a single pound of weight. It's amazing how a little fat pocket can totally change your shape. In the past ten years I have had "three" lipo surgeries to contour my physique. The total fat sucked out of me (yes...for thousands of dollars) is only equivalent to a 20oz soda bottle; but even so, I have dropped from a size 8 to a size 2. BTW, I'm not trying to be all "sophiemarie" on here, but rather just stating another perspective. It bugs me how everyone is cool with boob jobs but downgrades every other cosmetic surgery (... I know, it's another thread topic).

How is it possible to go from a size 8 to a size 2 without losing a single pound?
And also...fat has weight. Fat isnt weightless, so how is it possible to lose fat without losing any weight?

Ok, it's fair to correct myself on that one (e.g. "single pound"). I shouldn't have been quite so specific to point. It is known that weight reduction is generally very limited when a person gets liposuction. And in my case, I had so little taken out that my weight didn't flucuate at all from the said surgery. I had lipo on my inner and outer thighs. I was genetically cursed with "saddlebags" so my pants never fit me properly and I felt out of proportion being big on the bottom and little on top(this was pre boob job). Having my thighs shaped up allowed me to slip into the smaller pant sizes. I guess you could also think about how breast implants generally only weigh about 2-3 combined pounds but still dramatically alter the figure.
Let me also add that two of my "three" surgeries were corrective redo's. Liposuction works but has many complications if not done correctly, so I'm not exactly a #1 fan of the procedure. In my case, I had dents from having fat sucked to close to the muscle. Anyway, the OP asked for methods to get rid of it (fat), so I just wanted to throw in my experience with this one.

Lola Lee, you had lipo3 times?? What happened the first 2 times? Where did the surgery take place - was it the same surgeon each time?

^^^ I hope I explained above. Yes, surgery was performed by same surgeon on each instance; but only for the reason he didn't charge me for the "redo" operation. I was still responsible to pay for the hospital/anestesia fees though.
