I can never find a good truly nude lipcolor.....I love, love love the Mod look.....so, what works for me is this.....a coat of moisturizing concealer (really!) with a layer of gloss over the top. The gloss I use for this is rimmel, so it's cheap and you should be able to find it....I think it's called eastend snob....or something like that....vinyl lip. It's pretty on it's own, but if you're going for the really nude mod look, the concealer works great.

I used to like this look too, but the only way I can suggest how to do this in the UK is get a damn good concealer (the Body Shop used to do a corking one but they discontinued that - get on Ebay and order some Dermablend chroma 0, similar strength) and as suggested try one of the Rimmel ones that you can pick up in Boots or anywhere that has the full range, they do a nudey beige colour that's as close as you'll get, and lighly apply that over the top with a dusting of something to give a light shimmer, Boots 17 do like a loose highlighting powder you could use for this, so it doesn't look toooo flat, then a light layer of powder on top. No one sells nude lippie anymore it seems!

MAC used to make a matte lipstick called Folio but apparently it's been discontinued. But it was so perfect for the 60s mod look. I had heard Angelina Jolie used it often.

Fortunately they still make it's sister color, Lovedust. It's a little shimmery but still has that nice matte quality. I highly recommend it.

I would ask on specktra.net - those girls are experts! In fact, they have a message board esp for UK/European girlies, here's a link:

Personally, I like to use a bit of concealer with MAC Springbean lustreglass over it, but that will make it shiny.

The Raquel Welch line by MAC has a couple of really nice retro-nude lipsticks and glosses...
