Milani shadows from the drugstore are actually very comparable to MAC. And the Sonia Kashuk line at Target has some damn good brushes.
When I started writing it all out, I was shocked at the 27 steps. I can do this look in 20 minutes, if I'm not stopping to take pics after every step. As I said earlier in the thread, I think every stripper should have at least one hot look that they've mastered and can do quickly. It really helps when you are rushing to get to work or slightly hungover from the night before, etc.
As far as the products - the 3 shadows are $14 each, shadesticks are $16 and fluidline in $18. The brush for fluidline is about $14. You can check all the prices on the mac site, my estimates might be a little off. I mentioned the entertainer discount (30%) in another thread, so if you apply for that or can use a friends you will save a lot. I know MAC seems pricey at first, but compared to other lines (Nars, Dior, Lancome) it is not all that expensive and the quality is great. Their eye products are amazing, but I'm not entirely sold on their foundation. When I've finished the one I have, I'll be switching to a different line.
Milani shadows are comparable and a lot cheaper.
There is a link to a list in the ready for work thread that lists all sorts of combos for MAC, but if you don't have a lot of MAC it's probably not that useful. Make an account on specktra and view the FOTDs section - it's where members post their face for their day. I get a lot of ideas surfing around on there. Two members over there to specifically check out - Son_Risa and mistella. I can't even copy their skills but I love looking at their pics for inspiration.
Wow, I'm really happy you guys have enjoyed this tutorial. I was actually nervous to put it up! I'm glad I did tho and I will try to make another one with a more complicated look soon. Thanks for all your lovely compliments!!
