    Default Grrrr...business plans.

I have to write a business plan for my Yoga/Pilates studio. I think I'm going to go out of my mind. The one thing about writing a business plan, is you find the flaws of your thinking. So, I've been back to the drawing board several times to "clean up" the focus.

    *sigh*

This is going to be harder than I thought...I'm enjoying the process, but at the same time...it's exhausting.

Anywho...just came on here to vent a bit.

Ah the wonders of running a business. It's not for the faint of heart or those lacking in motivation. Good luck with it .

Let me know if you need any help or feeback, I've written tons of business plans for other people!

VG, are you writing this from scratch? There's so many great guideline-type books out there.....I'm wondering if you've taken advantage of them?? (Yes I know some are just straight-up silly and common-sense, but there was a really good one I came across with a friend who is opening a bar/restaurant and it was so very helpful for her to sort out her thoughts and ideas)

(PS I'm not looking up the name, b/c it was specific to opening a restaurant and therefore would not help matters for you, but I know I saw tons out there that looked wonderful)

I feel your pain. I had to write a business plan as a group project for my intro to business class. Only my group consisted of idiots & slackers that never came to class. I wrote the whole f'ing thing myself. Got an A though.

    Good luck!

Argh, I'm writing one now too. I downloaded Business Plan Pro 2007 from a torrent site. Seems to be idiot/me proof and it keeps me on task and focused.
    Good luck!

i have never written a plan per se. i have it mostly in my mind...it's always worked for me..

however most people should have a business plan..but damn they sure do suck to write!

you should contact your local sba and get in touch with SCORE. I know many many people that have used SCORE and the people there have been a great help in writing those biz plans and helping you in general!

I know what you are going through. My bf had to do this for our company and it really takes a lot of dedication. I'll see if he has any tips I can pass along to you.

When you are finished, you will be immensely proud of yourself and so will we!

Yes, VG look into SCORE it's a nationwide organization that consists of retired executives who look to help out people who want to be entreprenuers.

Remember, it's going to take more than 1 or even a few sittings to write a business plan out. This is not something you can bust out over the weekend. Take your time, take breaks....

Joe is actually helping me. He's a pro with the Business Plans. He just refuses to do it for me. Something about, "learning how to start a business from the ground up." garbage. LOL He's the reason I've been fine-tuning it for so long. Bastard. Doesn't he know it would be much easier if he would just write it for me and then find my investors? haahaahaa

It's a great learning experience. I've learned that Aleve works better than Tylenol for my headaches.

Thanks for the info, ladies. I will look into SCORE for any additional help, if needed!!

Katrine, when I finish the plan, I'll send it to you for proof-reading/final corrections!!

I just love proofreading and editing! I helped many of my friends graduate college. Just one of those things that's fun for me. Cleaning on the other hand.........
