    Default Rose from my garden.

Anyone have some good cropping tools, I'm thinking of using it as an avatar. No not the greatest pic either.. but it will be a while before they grow back.

Thumbs up Re: Rose from my garden.

So vibrant , robust and beautiful...

    And so difficult to grow.

I'm impressed cherryripeboy. Do you have an official green thumb? Do you have any other plant projects?

I do and they are more like, ummm... Frankenscience (I feel very badly for my plants; LoL).

    Thanks for sharing.

LOL Thanks for the Comps!! I'm no green thumb, but the stuff I grow I like... so they seem to come out well. All my miniatures I used to have in Australia, grew quite large (bush not flowers), and I did have some larger ones with flowers as large as my hand. I should post some pics. I did well with the strawberries too!

I miss my blue one, it was always a fight to keep it going.

I either do what I like or what is easy for me. I used to have a lot of herbs, but those are just useful weeds as a friend once put it.

Also the cropping I want to do is jagged not straight, otherwise I would have used MS Photo Editor, my fav 'free' tool. I was going to crop out the pole and driveway stuff, and fill it with a background. I think I need photoshop....

So pretty! I wish I could grow roses, but I end up killing every plant my bf gives me. Including the leaves that came with my fake flowers(the leaves looked fake, but the soil was real.D'oh!)

How do you want it cropped? You can do it easily in photoshop like this:

^^ A better idea than mine, I was trying to get the burst one and the closed one in the shot, hence the need for photoshop etc.

:giggling: That is adorable . I had a bird make a nest out of newspaper and plastic ring caps in the tree in front of my house (that was actually sad, to see how filthy we are to our environment )

Is it okay if I PM you some time? I read that you have been very good to your herbs and although I am ashamed to admit it, I could use some first hand good tutelage and troubleshooting.

I tried to grow jalapeno peppers last year. That was a dead end, literally.

So I opted for a roman oregano plant, since they say that oregano is immortal (the leaves die, but the root stays alive and grows back)-

I am looking at my oregano plant and apparently I have either poor life support skills or this one isn't immortal; LoL .

No worries Hot2Trot, although I may end up consulting Yates or my father. He did teach me about flowers gardens etc. Sometimes my family will joke he is really a farmer. Loves dirt, making things grow. I'm not so good, but I like what I like, and I make sure it does well.

If all else fails grow mint in a pot. If you can kill that, nothing is safe. Don't plant mint, free... trust me it will spread, and spread lol. I think I gave a good 10-20 starters to friends from my original 1 plant. Oregano will come back, I've been amazed. Then again I've seen it go away as well . I ended up having four different plants to keep up with my usage. I use a lot of broad leaf parsley, oregano, and basil in my cooking.

Don't think I ever got photos of my rosemary, even though it did very well. I think it was 2ft tall and 2ft wide when I left Australia, It was a bush in its own right. So much so I ripped out a similar looking bush across from it and replaced it with another rosemary. lol

Looks like I have a new avatar to add soon!
