Exclamation Pole Classes In San Diego

My fiance and I will be moving to San Diego, CA in about 2 weeks. Since he is getting such a good job I won't have to dance anymore. Unfortunatly, that means that I could possibly lose my nice tight body with it. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any GOOD pole classes in the san diego area.

I want to be challenged and strickly just work on pole work but everytime I google "pole classes" I come up with places that might have some pole work incorperated in teaching average women how to do lap dances, walk with confidence ETC ETC... Also, I'm not a beginner I've danced for a little over 2 years so I kinda want to be challenged and maybe possibly enter some pole dance competitions... Sooo if anyone could help I know it would be you lovely ladies
    Thank you!

I think eventually I will get a pole in our apt. but the one we will have for the first 6 months is going to be a little small for a pole. I just think it would be a great way to meet new people (I'm moving from Nebraska, yeah I know CULTURE SHOCK!) and continue being a pole monkey without working at a club. I will however keep that online pole class in mind when we get a bigger place.
    Thanks!

Come on you guys I'm serious about this. I know I don't post very often but when I do it's about something I really need help with. I don't want to pay $100 for crappy classes. At least let me know what to look for in a good class...

I've looked all over before but I couldn't find anything, either. I ended up buying a pole and some instructional videos. I found a bunch in LA, but didn't want to drive all the way up there.

I don't know of any pole dancing classes either. I DO, however, know of some dancers who teach private pole dancing lessons. Should I ask these girls details on your behalf?

If you should decide that you DO want to dance in a club in SD, I could recommend a few...

    Vanessa,

I love your name....same as my oldest daughter!!

What to look for in a pole school.......

    1. Qualified Instructors...current certifications, CPR, Group Fitness, Fitness Theory, prior experience poling (either danced or learned how via instruction..can they actually perform and breakdown what they teach?)

    2. Student Safety Standards...teaches correct warmup, proper body positions to unsure not damage is done to the joints or muscles. Spots student during instruction.

    3. Facility Safety Standards...Do they have a business license, group fitness liability insurance, waivers?

    4. Student to Pole Ratios...I would never want a class with more than 2 students per pole...you dont really learn anything.

    5. Proper Equipment...properly installed poles, yoga mats, crash mats for poles.

Keeping in mind I run an live online school, as well as a studio in Canada, things may be a bit different in the US regarding certifications and Facility Satefy Standards.
